Resistance Pro - help needed

sigelei#20
Original Spring + Gold Spring - interlaced(Gold contacting Batt/cap)
Resistance - Spring to Brass 510 threading .1 (Digital Meter set to 200)
4.06v - No load Voltage to 510 center pin
3.56v - Load reading - AGA-T Center Pin to Battery cap
4.05v final no load
AGA-T coil meters 1.4-1.5 ohms

ETA - Test battery is New ICR18500 smok 1600mah

New to Mechs and not sure where this all leads as to performance. Before going LR I'd like to know if the mod is performing reasonably.

Thank you

gimmie few minutes. Im at work, but ill see if I can get my phone to work and load it to my computer. (old stupid phone, smart phone coming in few days)

Ahh, cool, so the washer prevents the firing pin from retracting as much as it does normally, thus making the next button press shorter. Very cool!

I think my last question (for now...). When you sand the end caps to get to the brass, the knurling on the end caps gets sanded way as well, corrrect?

Comparable to mine, with a good spring, that is 0.2-0.3ohm on mod + RBA + battery.

Workaround: build coil with lower resistance.
For example, if you enjoy 28awg 0.8 ohm on a low v-drop device, just build the RBA with 28awg 0.7 or 0.6 ohm for that good-looking but higher v-drop mod. However the battery will last a bit shorter.

The largest unknown variable is the battery. There is no telling how much of the voltage drop is in the battery and how much is the #20 and RBA.

With a good IMR we can make some reasonable assumptions, but with an off brand ICR it's a shot in the dark.

ETA: Dont go any lower on the resistance with that battery. You're close to it's limit as is.

I just got my #19 and my #61. It looks like Sigelei got rid of the magnet in the top cap on the #19. But I also got the Nzonic cap and it has the magnet.

Here are some photo's.

Much appreciated!
I have and normally use the Efest 18350's, but both were depleted at the time I was testing.

I also have plenty of CGR18650CH , but really want to run The #20 in 350 Mod. Pocket friendly and great fit to my hand.

I will run the numbers with Both and see if there is much improvement.

I just ordered the 19b with nzonic cap, how do you like it? They didn't have much of a description, just the cap design...

I was thinking of getting the 61, is it al stainless steel and can you loose the blue ring in 18350 mode, if not I'm guessing its aluminium, maybe machine it down flush with the body?

I like it alot. I ordered the #19A and ordered the #19B cap to swap it out. But otherwise the #19A and #19B should be the same except the caps. But the #19B might have the magnet on the top cap like the #19A originally did.

The blue rings are press fit on or something. But the body is stainless steel and I think the rings are aluminum. I can't remove them. It is also a little shorter than the iSeason and has a copper firing pin but the neg post is chrome plated and it has a crappy brass coated spring that needs replaced. It doesn't hit for crap with the stock spring.

iSeason? It's just a uk vendor says the coloured rings are changeable, and diff colours will be available

Where did you find the #61? Was that a co-op?

It was a co-op.

The iSeason is made by Rainbow Heaven and is a copy of the Adam mod. I can't get mine off.

My end caps didnt have any knurling to start with. I also cheated. I used an upright belt sanded in the shop at work. Soooo I may have taken off a little more then I needed to. If yours has knurling. Then I would assume you would have to sand past the knurling to get to all brass. You dont need to sand the end caps. I did it for looks. Except for the top of the top cap. That i sanded to get my aga flush.

Wow, interesting. I really like the brass look top and bottom.

Subscribed to this thread guys. Some good info in here.

I've just recently picked up a #8 and will be putting most of the fixes detailed in here into place.

With regard to the spring, I'm thinking of using some wire core through the centre of it and soldering to the barrel after I've taken the plating off. Thoughts?

Just one ... Why?

Seriously though, the #8 does well enough without all that so I'm skeptical that it would yield enough results to warrant it. Just my :2c: of course. :)
