Had some free time to dig through my spare parts and got my #19 switch throw down to 1mm. Used two cpu water cooling hose grommets; one on each side of the switch. Still stands without firing.

I was wondering the same thing, as you can get a spare cheap at hoosier vapes.

The ones at hoosier vapes are for the Chi Chi (Chinese GG), not the GG (Golden Greek). I assume forg1ven was asking about the latter since the Chi Chi button is no better than the Sigelei. By looking at those (from Hoosier Vapes), it seems they would fit but you'd want to remove the chrome from the switch. Afaik pinky buttons all use the same threading as the 510 connector (7 x 0.5mm) as it is an industry standard and saves on manufacturing cost. It wouldn't make sense to add a different threading for it. I don't know about the GG, because it is not a 510 native device.

I think I just got two different answers on the China GG switch question. WinchellNomNom, I'm guessing you have both mods, right?

I'm pretty sure the chichi button wouldn't fit but wouldn't want it anyways, I'll have to check when I get home but who cares, know what I mean? ;)

I was asking about the GG Golden Greek button like he said.

Pics or size descriptions of the grommets you used, por favor.

Outer diameter on the large end is 1cm. Center hole diameter is 1/2 cm.

I purchased these at frys electronics locally for 3 bucks. Came with 6 sizes, 10 of each size.

These are better at stopping water or liquid then traditional o rings. You can cut them in half at the center which makes them great for accommodating size needs.

I wasn't sure if you were looking for a spare, or broke the assembly, but I hope you find one either way. I did find this over at vapesquad.com, which sounded like the GGTS at least had a much larger diameter than the China GG or the EA.

Vape Squad | Investigating E-Cigarettes

"Like the EA Mod and GGTS, the KTS has a side-mounted button at the bottom of the unit. This button is significantly smaller than the GGTS, and approximately the same diameter as the button on the EA Mod."

Break down pic pls! =D

Top and bottom you can see where I placed the grommets. The washer at the top sits in the bottom of the white delrin cup and doesnt actually make contact with the spring as can be seen in the second pic. The spring is from altsmoke which has been cut in half and rewound.

So, I heat treated the spring on my #19 to make it a little less tight, but I think I may have over did it....the mod will no longer hold it's own weight when stood on end.

Anyone know where I can find a replacement spring?
I think WinchelNomNom modded one from Altsmoke....

Hardware stores usually have a selection of springs. I've changed springs in more than one mod with a common hardware store spring. I've also heard Home Depot has a selection.

Yeah, my local hardware store has plenty of springs. (Couldn't find one at altsmoke, for some reason!) As the spring isn't actually part of the electrical circuit on the #19 it doesn't need to be brass either.

The spring is part of the electrical circuit( for me at least). The main point for the spring for me is to stop the misfires. The misfires occur because the button, when pressed, doesnt always come in contact with the interior wall of the switch housing. Therefore the circuit doesnt complete. The diameter of the original spring is too small to help complete the circuiy. By adding a copper spring with the correct diameter, the button and the switch housing are always in contact when pressed, thanks to the spring acting as a midpoint. This gets rid of all misfires. So maybe 40-50% of the time, the spring completes the circuit. This is why I chose copper instead of expanding the original spring.

The spring isnt the only method, someone else used mesh earlier in this thread.

This is for my #19's. Not sure about the 2nd run.
