Not bad at all. Did you use a drill? I'm really curious to hear whether anyone's done this by hand, and how well it turned out...

yes i used a drill at low speed, i tried doing by hand at first but it was going too slowly for my patience...

even with a drill the top cap took a while to get the chrome off...

I was able to hold onto the contact pin with some needle pliers and twist the button head off by hand.

My #8 is threadlocked on the housing and switch. Any pics of the assembly taken apart by any chance?

Anyone remember how much heat they applied, assuming no one used a blowtorch or anything.

you don't need to take the entire assembly off the body to apply the washer/spacer/paperclip fix for the button

I understand that, but thanks.

Anyone else have pics of the asembly taken part? Or remember how much heat to apply to remove the threadlocked switch?

No one with thread specs on the 19? :(

I eventually have a 19 coming and want to make a low profile top cap.

Does anyone know what the thread specs are for the top cap?

Also how true is the diameter?

I will finish the diameter to match once I receive it, mainly just curious. Most of the 22mm attys look pretty close on it.

It's a shame they don't make different options for the top cap because you can really trim some length off a mod eliminating the well.

CCTS slimmed down (sorry for the mess)

Thanks to forg1vn for posting the pics! I wasn't looking forward to taking mine apart again.

I used a bic lighter... a refugee from my old smoky days ;) Passed the flame over the button a few times, grabbed two pair of needle nose pliers and it *unscrewed* right apart. I intended to put some loctite blue on it or something but haven't done so yet. The button is staying on there but I check it once in awhile just in case. I suggest having some thread lock goo on hand for re-assembly.

And again, be careful of loosing that spring!!! It's TINY! Much smaller than you would think, looking at those photos.

I'm bummed....my order will be in the next batch, and have to tell ya, getting discouraged my #19 won't show or won't work if it does come in. :( It's been a long day, I'll decide in the morning if I want a refund or not.

Some more news on the Sigelei pre-orders from Exhalevapors:

So excited! Just need to figure out what I should buy to go on top of it... my third AGA-T2? A new dripper? Hmmm...

If you got in at a good price, I'd say stick with it. The #19 was already serviceable, and I think the delays were to address some of it's issues.

The prices are already creeping up, and I have a feeling with the runs on stock and the popularity increasing on a few of the models that's its likely to get worse. I've found a couple sites even listing different models as #8 or #19, and with much higher prices already.
