I wonder in I can fit all the dna20 internals into the top portion of the sig #20. Find a button similar in size, use the two vent holes in the top as up and down buttons and cut a screen area directly opposite the fire button. Skip the charger and just use replaceable batteries that fit inside the telescope chamber. I wonder if there would be a problem with still having the tube complete the negative circuit instead of having a wire running from the negative end of the battery.

That would be a cool mod. Yes grounding through the body wouldn't be a problem, the ground portion of the dna is shared with all the grounds on the board. Using the on board buttons will dramatically decrease the PITA factor when it comes to finding a place for everything and the wires to fit, but they also create limitations. So kinda of a pick your poison thing.

I haven't heard. I just seen it the other day for the first time.

For some reason the length of a DNA tube mod and having the screen and the buttons on different sides doesn't set well with me.

But the cyborg is the best looking one I have seen.

But I want see how nomnom's Sig 20-20D turns out.

That would be nice. Only design issues im having with a metal tube is with screen placement and how to mount the screen. These things wouldnt be issues with a flex screen.

I love that design, I just dont have the knowledge or hardware at my disposal.

I think I will go with a clear plastic tube from one of my many plastic tanks, and cut it in half to use as window. Ill carve out a black delrin block to house the screen and contour it to the curve of the tube. So the screen will be slightly recessed but the black Delrin will disguise this a bit. I will use mounting screws instead of glue for the screen housing so everything will be easily removeable. I wont have the #20 till monday so I dont even know what i will be able to fit inside the limited space. I still need to source a button that will fit the already existant fire button hole and air/updown holes.

Mouser has good selection of others and a good website, digikey is probably the best price but website isn't the best.
