I am looking at either the ipv mini or the sigelei mini 30 watt, and would like to hear input from people who have experience with both devices. I am looking for a replacement for my smok xpro M50. I liked my m50, but it has proven not to be not very durable. The fire button keeps falling out (and mine didn't have the spare button in the box for some reason) the board will sometimes shift a bit in the case on me, resulting in a short that will either cause it to fire the atty continuously or not at all. When it does this I have to completly dismantle it, and reassemble to get it to work properly again. So I'm not happy with it at all really, and it has way more power than I'll ever need. I do like that it has an 18650 batt, on board charging with the USB port and its overall size. As I said, I really don't need a lot of power. My favorite atty is a Kayfun 3.1, and I use a single coil of either 29 gauge kanthanal or 30 guage kanthanal wire between 1.4 to 1.9 Ohms, and I usually vape at between 9-12 watts. I know from experience that I do not want or need something with a ton of power or the ability to fire sub ohm coils. Currently the two devices I'm looking at seem to fit the bill for what I want, the only questions I have at this point is which is the more durable device, or is there another device that meets my criteria that's built like a tank, but isn't priced like an Abrams M-1. If I had the money I would buy an SX-mini.. I don't.. Thanks in advance for any input!

the ipv has a better 510 and the buttons are bigger.....i use a Veritas on my ipv mini and it's awesome......if your not carefull with the sig mini or like to change out atty's alot you might eventually strip the threads some folks including myself use an airflow adapter on the sig mini as a new base to screw in atty's to save the original threads....but they both hit great.

Thanks! That's exactly the kind of info I need! I would probably be better off then going with the IPV mini, because I take the atty off the mod when I'm not using it to make it easier to pocket, and to completly eliminate accidental misfires. I know the paint in the ipv minis chip easily, but I'm not so concerned about that, I just want the most durable, reliable device I can find.

I've had my ipv mini since they came out. it's been great! the paint on my v1 is fine, no chipping at all :) the v2's seem to have issues though...

That's good to know, but I will be surprised if I don't find a way to mess it up some how. Almost every painted e cig I have ever had the paint will start to chip and flake eventually, unless it's anodized, those seen to hold up far better. If that happens with this, I might get a wrap for it, but most likely I will sand it and polish it to a mirror finish. Not so hard to do when you know how, and it's free!

My IPV mini will get here Saturday, I hope the XPro m50 doesn't kill me by then. So the M-50 was doing something rather cute to me just now. As I was unscrewing my Kayfun, it started to auto fire on me. I noticed that when I had it screwed in to a certain point it would do this to me. I turned the unit off, and guess what? It was still firing the atty! So obviously there was a short in it somewhere. I took it apart and grabbed my hot glue gun, and put the slightest dab at all the wiring connections. This seemed to have fixed it for now, but I can't say surely that hot glue is an appropriate insulator for the innards of ecigs! To make matters worse, you have to unscrew 4 little hex screws to remove the battery, so if things had gone horribly wrong... Wow! If you look at the attached pic, I belive the short was happening where the red and the white wires come into the PCB board, I don't like how close those connections are. Saturday can't get here soon enough.
