Well my batty FINALLY got charged and to tell you the truth, waiting for the batteries to charge had to be harder than waiting on the mailman to show up. Charging 18650 batts on the TrustFire TR-001 Charger took about 8 to 8 and a half hours (to be honest I removed on battery after 7 hours (it read 4.0 in the device when I checked it).
I am very happy with the Zmax so far.
JoeBar, that is the device I got but I had to purchase the items separately. Zmax, charger, 2 18650 batts (2250mah), but I also purchased a eVOD clearomizer which is working very nice. My Zmax is also the one with the "sloped" top edge and not "flat".
I have had a minor issue where after using it for an hour or so it just stopped working. I had to remove and reinsert the battery a couple of times (each time I started to install the batty the screen would start up then go out and wouldn't work, after a few times it worked good again... strange).
Prior to this I had been using eGos and have a clearomizer for it, the eVod is so much smoother, it is surprising.
I won't say I'm ecstatic, I would rather reserve that judgement for after a few weeks. I will be purchasing a couple more batts and probably another eVod and replacement heads in the next few days.
All in all I'm satisfied with my purchase if that is any consolidation.

Well, a couple of comments.

How long a battery takes to charge depends on the charger. I have 350 mAh chargers. It's going to take 12 hours to charge an 18650 2200 mAh on those, but they won't get hot during charging and will last a lot longer than batts charged on a hotter/faster charger.

Power switches used by Smoktech and I assume (Sigelei) and others take a while to wear-in. These power buttons use hard plastic buttons that are positioned over the actual computer keyboard type switch. Often, it takes a couple of weeks for these buttons to wear down against the stainless steel tube bodies for a perfect fit. It's a self-adjusting fit that takes a little time to move flawlessly. My E-Power 14650 switch button had the same issues which disappeared after the button wore-in after a few weeks.

Think my first mod is gonna be the vmax telescope! Can anyone tell me why all the hubbub is about the flat top one and not this one?

Sigelei Zmax Telescope- Complete Kit

Is it just a looks thing or is there something else different? Thanks!

Sigelei Telescoping ZMax V3 ... Flat top ... or ... Slant top

For myself, I just like the flat top's looks ... it's something new & different.

No ... hubbub

Just a preference.

I got mine last week and I love It - I have the zmax v2 gun metal from smok and now this and I like this much better in terms of build quality

Only thing that sucks - crooked oled screen which seems to be a consistent manufacturing flaw vs just a "one off" issue - everyone that ordered one - well at least 8/10 people all have the crooked screen. It bothered me for 2 minutes then I realized life is more important than a crooked screen that is off by 1 mm

Anyway the really big plus on this -

18350 and 18490 flat tops both work in short mode - you can tighten it all the way down and use the 18490 in Mini mode and its not like you are crushing the device and spring - it's a perfect fit .

Am I over pressurizing the spring ? Therefore shortening its life spam from 2 years - 3 days - and 9 hours down to 1 year - 7 days - and 2 hours ? You're damn right I'm doing it - but a spring is 30 cents and who knows what mod ill have in a year

Curious what the flat top looks like with ego thread device on it or ego cone on it. Can anyone post pics please :) If I get one plan on using cartos most of the time and sometimes atty with ego cone and wondering if cone on it would look crazy lol

The joyetech cone, is about the only ego threaded device I still have around.

- Boge Cartomizer Standard LR, on the flat top
- Boge Cartomizer Standard LR, JoyeTech Cone Stainless, on the flat top

Will Affleck ...

Ming ... so I pulled this out
- Cherry Vape Drip Tip

The atomizer can't be seen, but it's a JoyeTech LR Atomizer, it's almost flush with the cone, the drip tip tops it off.

The Sigelei Zmax V.3 Telescopic (flat top) arrived in the mail today. Talk about a happy camper! I love this thing. It's like having a freshly charged 4.2V in my E-Power 14650 all of the time, instead of the first 15 minutes.

Everything works. The thing looks mint. The detailing on the brushed stainless steel is gorgeous. The switch is just want I wanted with a nice positive feeling click. I can fit the Sigelei w/18650 into a jeans pocket but the fit with the 18500 is just perfect for me: less than 1/2" longer than my E-Power 14650 (and at least twice as heavy). I'm running 6.5 watts and loving it. Incidentally, with the Sigelei in watts mode it will remember power and RMS settings during a battery change but be sure to turn the Sigelei off (menu item #1) before removing a battery. The little Sigelei brain doesn't like it if the battery is removed/replaced when the electronics are powered up.

The only thing I can register any complaint about is the OLED screen. The read-out is just slightly tilted, but not as bad as on the Pbusardo videos. I thought this was going to be fixed for V.3. I really don't notice it now that I'm using the Sigelei and I'll be happy to live with this. I haven't used the clearo that came with the kit so I can't say anything about the eGo threading feature. I'll be using 510 cartos and tanks. The tube threads are nice but I will be cleaning and lubing them this evening. The telescoping body screws down snug with extremely little to no free play. This is a great rig and a bargain at $75.

I knew you'd like it.

I agree, that it's a little on the heavy side, but the benefits of everything else out weigh the weight issuw (no pun intended;) )

The heaviness doesn't both me a bit. I like it. It's not like I'll be doing weight training to use it or that it's going to melt down through my pocket. Yeah, you were definitely right about me liking the Sigelei. I almost wish I had gotten into VV/VW earlier but waiting for something as nice as this was worth it.
