Thanks. But just to be clear, a button top will still work right? I want to keep all of my order with just one vendor and they only have the button top aw imr's.

Button-top batteries will work ...

I'm using AW IMR 18350/490/650 all button-top ... no problems with any.

I don't have any flat-top batteries ... yet
... later ... later, I plan to order some Efest IMR 18500 Flat Top.

It's very solid, and heavy I must add. I haven't got it to work with T3s yet, but it's great. Best results (if you're vaping at high voltages with rebuildables) is to get AW IMR batteries. I don't know why, but ICR batts (Samsung and Panasonic) don't get enough juice to pull it off. The difference in performance is amazing. I've had it for 15 days now and if it weren't for the bad ego connection I'd be thrilled.

Weird. Mine works with every single one of my T3s...its all I use. Sorry you are having problems. Is it not screwing in or not firing?

Thinking of getting the Sigelei Zmax Telescope flat top.

Is it better to use the standard issue batteries or the IW IMRs?

What should I look out for? Any tips?

How does it compare to eVic and ProVari?

***

I purchased my "Sigelei Telescoping ZMax V3 Flat-Top" ... at ElectronicStix, as a kit.
- The batteries in the kit are generic, no brand name "18650-2200mAh-3.6v"
- They work fine with no problems

All the other batteries I own, are AW IMR type 18350/490/650
- Eventually, I will switch from generic to the AW IMR ... I prefer using one brand of batteries in all my mods.

Checkout ... PBusardo Review - Sigelei Z-Max - YouTube
- General idea of what the Sigelei ZMax V3 is about.

Compared to ? ...
I didn't do the comparing ...
- I was sold on the Telescoping feature, Stainless Steel Brush finish, Flat-top design
- All ready had a good idea of what the ZMax is about.

Doesn't fire. As if the thread is not well made, if I screw a T3 it's very difficult to get it out. I have some eVods on the way, maybe that'll solve the problem. Anyway I use it at home with a Terminator on top, and leave my eVic with T3s to go out.

Yeah, kind of sounds like an issue with the ego threading, that sucks:(

glad to hear others are enjoying this mod as well!!

Just outta curiosity I was considering having a local machine shop make me a spacer to fill in the stepped down area when running a 18650 batteries, would anyone be interested in this? I would probably need to run a batch of them to have it done.

Sounds like a great idea! If the spacer matches the original tone/finish, count me in!

Couldn't you just use a 510 to ego adapter ? Since the ego adapter is hidden in the skirt you won't even see it

My evods work without problem but my T3s just spin and will not catch. When I used my adapter it was fine and worked perfectly

I actually use the adapted more now since a lot of devices (mech and vv) are coming with floating center pins which are great for connection but sucks for airflow - so I use the ego adapter and it works great. I've drilled a bigger air-hole in the apart as well - so I simple fill it with a tooth pick and break it off when I want a tighter draw and I take it out when I want a loosie goosey .

No issues fitting my T3's to it.

Here's some pics to give people an idea how it looks with a couple of different attachments. This is in 18350 mode

This was a double post, but I'm going to use it to ask - What is the deal with RMS vs Mean, which should I put it on and what do I need to know?

Thanks!

***

RMS is the "Default", this mode will give you an accurate voltage/wattage.
- set your voltage to 3.7v, your output will be 3.7v ... same with wattage

Mean is all messed up, not even close to accurate
- set your voltage to 3.7v, your output might be 4.7v or even higher
- Avoid "Mean"
