Sign of a short or what?

Got this battery today it is an MKNE IMR1600 mAh that I literally got 6 hours ago and when it quit firing I assumed it was dead but when I removed it the negative end has signs of arc/ charring?

Short for sure that battery is junk throw it away. You need to check the mod you got that out of as well. How long has it been since your mod was cleaned. Maybe some metal in the switch, hard to say. Good luck

Well I threw a Sony vtc4 in it before and even realized it did that and it fires just fine? Is it the quality of the battery, or c rating of the battery?

Arcing is usually poor contact.. How much battery rattle did you have?

Its not garbage, it was just arcing if it will take a charge its fine maybe a couple days life lost on te top end.. That is what is happening in microscopic anyway when good connection you just elongated the connection and made heated plasmas. Make sure you adjust those adjusters that could have gone bad.

I would clean the dark stuff off the battery with fine sandpaper and do the same with the contact in the mod. You should be good to go after that.
