[h=3]Efest LUC Multi-function Smart charger[/h]Efest 2500 mAh battery 35a (i'm aware of the spec isn't accurate)

Hi,

One of my efest batteries is swollen on the negative end. i charged my batteries last night, once fully charged i took them out of the charger. This morning i tried putting one into my nemesis and noticed that it wasn't sliding in as smoothly when i first got it.

I'm currently at work right now debating if i should continue vaping from this battery. I wanted to know if anyone has experienced the same problem and if it is still safe to use. I'm worried that the battery is stressed and may potentially explode on me. i was unable to find any threads on here about signs of a stressed battery.

My draw time is usually 3-5 second if that helps as well.

thnx

The casing of these batteries is one piece of metal from the outside diameter at the positive end all the way around the bottom and back up the other side. If that casing has swollen, something major is wrong and I would not use it again.

Now, having said it would really surprise me if the battery has swollen at the negative end. IMO the pressure required for that to happen would have caused the vent to open at the positive end. Can you see and/or feel the swelling? Can you measure the diameter (vernier caliper)?

Is it possible that something is in the mod tube that's making the battery snug? Did you drop that batt recently?

i have another efest battery and it slides in and out fine, i did drop it once but the impact was on the tip end. i would assume it would swell on the top end. I've actually been using it regardless and it still works fine. I noticed it does get a bit warm at times but i'm positive thats due to my hit duration stressing the battery. I don't have a tool to measure the diameter of the battery.

A 0.4 ohm atty draws 10.5 amps at 4.2 volts. That is not going to stress a Efest 2500 35A (which is really 20A) and cause it to get warm from even 10 second drags, chain vaping.
