Man that sucks i was just going to order some. Why they let you order just a foot is beyond me.
I'd be up for the group buy. But I'm not 100% that it will fit/work like we want it to, and $50 of it will be alot of tubing. Though with like 5 people it'd be under $20 each with shipping and everything so I'd prob do that. It'd be great if a retailer would sell it.
The latex may work but it will have a smell/taste unlike silicone, and it's not really a very nice color.
That looks perfect. I cant believe they actually sent you some...
You should ask fellow vapers in your area if the use "cartomizers" those come inside 2 silicone round tubes that fit perfectly on any 510 or 901 round tip cartridges and most people just throw them away.
You could get them for free and they really work very good for what you want.

Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette | E Liquid - Rubber Tip

Hi, there, I just recently bought my first e-cig (haven't received yet) but when I was doing my research on which pv to buy I saw a model called V901. Is a very uncommon model but it actually exists and guess what? It has soft cartridges but like I said It´s very rare I only have seen it in a mexican site, it also appears in the wiki "Brand and Model Compatibility Chart" and only seen it sold by bulk in china web sites (sorry, cant post links yet)I have read comments in the forums, and have thought myself, about wanting to hold an eCig in my mouth hands-free. I've found I can only do that by clenching it tightly between my teeth and not moving my head too much or too fast. But it is difficult because of the weight of the end and the slipperiness of the plastic cartridges.
I read someone suggest a rubber cartridge, but I think that is not workable for various reasons. I also read the suggestion of using one of the cartridge rubber tips (cartridge "condoms") but I thought they were not really round (for a round tip cartridge) and not long enough.
I decided a good choice would be an unobtrusive silicone tip, open-ended at both sides, that fit snugly over the end of the cartridge. Silicone doesn't react with virtually anything, it doesn't decay like rubber, has no taste, and is basically pretty harmless, so it seemed like a reasonable candidate to me.
I did some internet searching, but just couldn't find what I was wanting- something thinner (and cheaper, certainly) than the medical or lab-grade silicone hoses I was finding. After some time of racking my brain and trying different searches, I happened to look down at a pen on my desk. A pen with a silicone finger grip.and the inner diameter seemed like it might work, but it was too thick, etc. I went to the local office supply store and looked through the pens and pencils, and found a few types that had grips that seemed like they might work. (See accompanying pictures, one of the specific pens and mechanical pencils I selected, one of pen and pencil grips pulled off and put beside a cartridge for comparison, and one with the grips cut and placed on the carts, with the grip remainders above the grips).
With a little effort, I worked the grip slowly off the pen and pencil after unscrewing their tips. They were too long, though. so I placed the grips against a cartridge, and decided what part of them I wanted to use, and cut them with an ordinary scissors to a size so they were just short of the length of the cylindrical part of the cartridge (an hobby blade knife might give better results than scissors for this).
To get the grips on the cartridges takes a slight effort. It helps if you wet the cartridge and inside of the grip with some water. If it were a little slippery, that would help get them on easier, as long as the slippery stuff is safe and will dry out so it won't stay slippery. There's no need to use any kind of adhesive, you should use pen grips that are just slightly smaller in diameter than the cartridge so they are held on well by friction.
Once you work the grip over the tip of the cartridge as much as you can by pushing on the grip, grab the grip, perhaps with some tissue paper or a piece of rubber around it to aid with friction and slide it up onto the cartridge until the end is even with the cartridge end.
I have tried this out, and these grips really helps you to hold the cartridge in your mouth. And the pens and pencils are still usable without their grips if you don't want to be wasteful; you could wrap the former grip area with tape or something else if it bothers you.
While I only bought small packs of the pens and pencils to test this out, they are both available more cheaply at office supply stores in larger-quantity (say 16 or 20 each) boxes. You can just put one on each of several carts. It would be a little laborious to be constantly changing them out; this method works best if you are filling and reusing empty carts and their filler, certainly, as I am, rather than always using prefilled carts.
This is a workable, but not an ideal solution to me - I would ideally like a smooth matte-finished very thin (fraction of a mm) silicone end covering. Can anyone suggest where I might obtain such a material pre-made? While I've worked a little with silicone for hobbies, I'd really rather not go to the trouble and expense of manufacturing it myself from a silicone mix from Smooth-On Mold Rubber or the like if something premade already exists.
I hope some folks find this helpful, and I welcome any comments or suggestions!
Thanks and Happy Vaping!
