Silicone or Rubber Insulators

Been rebuilding my kanger coils for a few weeks now, and, even though I try to be careful when I'm snipping the wire ends, I'm noticing a few of my insulators have a few nicks in them. Lightningvapes has insulators, but in both rubber and silicone. Does one material seem to be better over another? Price is the same for either. My smok Aro's appear to have rubber insulators, the kanger heads appear to be silicone.

Looking for opinions

I find that the silicone ones are easier to insert into the coil head's body over the rubber ones. As far as integrity of the two, I have only been using the silicone ones for about a month and they aren't showing any signs of wear yet. The rubber ones would tend to degrade and have tears in them after a few dry burns. In contrast the rubber ones have more of a stopping ability from pushing the positive pin in the body too far and with the silicone ones I have had to pull the pin out a little bit in order to make connection with the positive pin on my PVs.

I'm leaning toward the silicone - I'd noticed when rebuilding the Aros, it was a little touchier trying to get the rubber insulator in place.
