Well, I'm happy to say I haven't smoked regular cigarretes since I have my Volt! At the moment I am happy with it so I'm not exploring more advanced options. I have, however, bought some Nano clearomizers from Smokeless Image (just to try out, I like the idea of being able to see how much is in and when I need to add more juice). So far I'm having a very positive experience with them. Easy to fill without the need of syringes, and they have not leaked or similar. Nevertheless I had some newbie and silly questions regarding them:
  • How should I "store" a clearomizer that has liquid in it? Will they leak? Should I leave them horizontally or vertically? If the answer is "vertically" which end should go up to avoid leakage?
  • If I leave the clearomizer on the batter, will it leak through the mouce piece? Can I just leave it on and leave my ecigarrette just lying around somehwere?
  • When I was filling one of them it seemed as if the bottle came a bit "moist" on the outside as if they had spilled a bit of juice when filling it in or something like that. I immediately washed my hands since I am assuming it's not wise to have direct contact with the e-liquid but I have no idea if my assumption is valid or not. How careful should I be not to "touch" the liquid at any time?
  • I now have too many juices... I think I could take 2 or 3 months to finish them all... is it Ok to keep juices that long? Do they "go bad" or similar?
  • How often should I clean a clearomizer that is being used with the same juice? Every week? Month? And when should I just toss it and get a new one?

Anyway, I appreciate your help as always!

You can store a clearomizer however you want. I prefer to store them in such a way that the wicks will continue to be saturated with fluid. If the tank is somewhat full of fluid, the wicks will stay saturated no matter how you lay it down.

If you store it upside down you shouldn't get fluid leaking out of the mouthpiece. If it's leaking, there is something wrong with it ie: failed o ring or seal.

You should try to not get the juice on your hands, as it is sticky and makes a mess. But it's inevitable. At some point you are going to get it on your hands. The nicotine will absorb though your skin, but when your dealing with e-juice, it is a very small percentage. For example, an 18mg juice will only be 1.8% nicotine. If you get it on your hands, it's alright, but it's best to wash your hands as soon as possible. You're not going to get sick from it if it's on your hands for a few minutes.

E-juice will generally stay good for a year or two, or more. A couple of months on the shelf is nothing to worry about. A lot of people like to steep or "age" their juice before vaping. And this process can take several weeks or a month or more.

Personally I clean my delivery devices whenever I'm changing flavors, or whenever the flavors start to become muted, or performance suffers. The device will tell you when it needs cleaning. If your clearomizer has replacement heads, you may never have to throw it out, unless it begins to leak. You can just replace the heads. If it doesn't have replacement heads, you'll simply throw it out when it stops working. I've heard of some clearomizers working well for 6 months or more, and I've heard of others that fail after only a few days. Sometimes you get a dud. Like I said, you'll know when it's time to replace it. If it's working well, there is nothing to worry about. Hope this helped.
