Still definately a noob here! I'm looking at buying my first tank, been using vivi novas. With the tanks, when I want to change the flavor do I have to use a new carto? Basically can u only use a carto for one flavor before doing a total clean or tossing the carto?

Going to be using boge 510 LR cartons if that helps.

Sorry for my ignorance. Please help!

I've had mixed results with cleaning cartos and usually just grab a new one since they're cheap. I do clean used ones just to use with liquids I only have a small amount of left. If they still smell heavily of the previous flavor or have a stiff draw after being cleaned I toss them.

Vivi Novas are superior to carto tanks IMO as well.

I dont' use tanks anymore, just vivi novas. But when I did, in order to refill with a new flavor... yes you should clean the tank out and put a new carto in. No need to throw the carto out, vodka in a 8oz glass soaked for a few hours usually gets ride of the flavor unless its a potent juice.

I'm new here too. I'm going to purchase a Joyetech rGo T in the next few days, and plan on getting a Vivi Nova to go with it. I thought the Vivi Nova IS a tank. What does one do with the vodka afterwards?

I use vivi's but really LOVE my tanks for the beauty of them. I use my phiniacs, I use my Lavatanks and my bedazzles, I use my vivi's and my chids. They each have their own flavor :D

With so many to choose from, when my cartos start acting up I just replace them. Then I set them aside as I plan to do a cleaning one day on them all. But I do refill my tank with the same liquid for as long as my cartos want to give me good vape.

Ya pretty sure I'll be using novas as my main vape but want to try the cartos to be a little more educated vaper

Getting the inexpensive triple v polypro tank from valley view to try em

You may try dripping. When I get my new set up, I'm going to atempt dripping. That's what some of the vets do. The juice allegedly tastes better, and I don't think you have to worry about the previous juice. Someone may have to correct me on this.

@flintlock62 - they are tanks, clearos, whatever etc lol
they just are certainly not carto tanks

@dwardek - Try out as much as you, that way you can learn about each. Myself, I cant use cartos, always had a problem with taste, was like I was soaking juice onto a cotton ball then throwing it in my mouth.

Sweet thanks for all the info. Getting a 5 pack of boge cartos too so I can really try out the tank stuff picked up a 510 atty to to try dripping to taste juice.

Plus the tank all for 20 bucks from valley view. I think it's a good investment towards more vape knowledge.

Oh hey one more question when i switch carts to switch flavor will keeping the condoms they came with one them keep them fresh enough to let sit till I go back to that flavor?

I haven't done that, but now that I'm thinking my box with "to be cleaned" does stink like 10 flavors mixed, ugh. Try it, see if it works, my guess is that it should for a while.

I went through large numbers of cartotanks before trying the Vivi Nova, and I sure wish I'd tried it first. Vivi nova wins big on simplicity/ease, reliability/consistency, low initial cost, low maintenance cost. I have a sweet repairable atomizer from a co-op coming sometime soon and I actually doubt I'll be getting much use out of it, since it has a to exceed the excellent performance of the Vivi Nova.

Good luck with carto tanks. They gave me nothing but trouble: leaks, flooding, dry nasty hits, PITA refilling, expensive failures, etc.

I use mini vivi's as well but I also just ordered one of the polypro tanks from valley view to give them a try. I also just got a couple dripping attys in from smartvapes and wow. The flavor was so good. I just started not long ago but figured why not give several things a try and see what I like best.

Next up I'm gonna try one of the HH357 attys and see how they are. Kinda steep price but anything to stay off the nasties

If you enjoy dripping and can give the 357 some time to break it, YOU WILL LOVE IT!
