I lost my Silver Bullet. It seemed to be getting weaker the last few days. I thought it was the batteries, so I kept putting in newly charged ones. But it still got weaker. Then it stopped working entirely. I tried my 3v batteries, 3.7, 3 new atty's, etc. Dead as a doornail.

I've contacted the supplier. We'll see what happens. I'm back to my 510. :(

Debbie

Did you contact Chad (cddz)? He makes them and is very customer service oriented:) He'll get back with you, just pm him:)

Debbie, did you clean the atomizer connection? Take off the atty and look in the hole, e-juice will muck up the electrical connection. Q-tip and rubbing alchohol might do ya.

Ethan(Sparky),
I assume you know about the new switch for 20 bucks at PS. I'm really thinking about getting a couple for the wife and I, but want to see what the unit looks like with the black plastic switch and switch holder no pictures anywhere. A real nice device with a black plastic switch I don't know! The SB looks sweet but a little to big to carry around.

Yup, I like the mechanical switch idea, I just paid $90 for the thing though! But I sent my Protege back for a fix up, I'm sure PS will take care of it. :)

I think there was somthing about the threads on the body connection, some sort of grease that needs to be put on them for a better connection.

I think there was somthing about the threads on the body connection, some sort of grease that needs to be put on them for a better connection.

It's called "anti-galling compound", "anti-oxidant joint compound", etc., and I use NOALOX brand from Lowe's:

783250067220lg.jpg

This is the 1/2 oz. tube.

783250300266lg.jpg

This is the 4 oz. tube. The half-ounce tube is plenty, and the 4 ounce tube should last you 10 years or so. :D

Aluminum oxidizes, and can get pits or "galls" in it. That oxidation and galling can cause aluminum threads to seize up and/or not conduct electricity as well. This stuff cuts the oxidation off the aluminum, and protects against further oxidation. Makes the thread action feel really nice and smooth, too.

You can find this stuff in the electrical section next to the wire lube. The Lowe's employee you ask has probably never heard of it, but they likely know where the wire lube is.

Just squeeze a dab or so onto the threads, work it in with a Q-tip or something, screw the body together and apart a few times, wipe off the excess with a paper towel or a clean shop rag. You don't need to get it all out of the threads, because it's good for the threads and it conducts electricity. You just don't want to get it all over your hands when you handle the SB or change batteries.

...Guess i should have put up a vid of me exhaling massive vapor, lol.[...]

Careful! It takes a lot of practice to learn how to make those massive clouds of vapor, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself.

:D

Check this out:

Draw into your mouth as you would with a cigarette, except maybe a bit slower. Now, instead of the normal stop-vaping-and-inhale, keep your button pressed, your mouth on the cart, and slowly inhale directly into your lungs. When you feel a pinch, like you're going to cough if you keep it up, let off the button, release the cart, and inhale. Now you will see some major vapor and experience the massive throat hit and nicotine satisfaction you've been craving.

That's a variation of the "direct inhale" technique that I completely ignored when I first started, because it seemed crazy. Now it's my standard vape. Had I learned to do this early on, I would have been a lot happier and less frustrated.

Thanks man! Working on it!

It said that the silver bullet will take 2 cr123a batteries or the 2500 MAH 18650 3.7 V battery. Are the 2 batteries different sizes in length?

Let me check: hell yes! The 18650 is like a big ... AA battery, ONE is used in the SB. The CR123's are shorty's, you use TWO at once for about 7v. I think these are used in cameras, garage door openers and such.
