Hey guys, let me tell you my tale of woe and beg for your help. I'll try to keep it short.

I have 2 Sony 18650's that were working on my Nemesis clone with a Kraken Genesis, then when I swapped one out for the other, none of them would fire on it. I tested my Kraken to make sure it wasn't a short in that, and I tried a different battery, and it still wouldn't fire. The other battery (an eFest) works fine in my Tesla VV. The Sonys seem to charge fine (I'm getting a green light when I put them on the charger), but when I put them in my Tesla to check their voltage, they don't seem to make contact at all. I don't even get the "TESLA" on the screen when I screw the bottom cap on and it won't turn on.

The one thing I have not tried yet is my other atty on the Nemesis with the eFest, to see if it might be a top pin issue on the Nemmy, but I'm pretty sure it's a battery problem.

I of course left my device at home so I can't follow any advice for a while.

UPDATE: I checked one with an analog battery tester and it says the battery has charge. But it won't fire...

How much voltage? LiPo batts are delicate and a faulty charger, overcharging or even dropping them on the table can render them unusable. I would suggest measuring with a multimeter. You can find one at your nearest electronics or hardware shop for about $10.

One of my mechs was driving me crazy until I isolated the problem to a faulty battery. It's a no-name 18650 that shows green on the charger but when I finally got to measure it with a mutimeter it's outputting only 0.8V. Got them sealed at a local downtown electronics store that unfortunately will take me some 45 minutes driving on Monday. I don't expect a warranty even tho I purchased the pair just this tuesday, as they have a prominent sign stating No warranty on batteries, however as I got them sealed in a cellophane bag and they werent tested at the store, I'm gonna argue that. Besides, I need a replacement anyway and the other nearest vendor is in China. :-(
