looks like an easy 5v mod. replace the usb connector with a 510 battery connector. already has the voltage boost built in.

To activate this mode, press and hold the power switch (white button) for 3 seconds. You'll see 2 out the the 3 red LEDs flashing alternatively, meaning high power charging mode active. Then, plug your device in for charging.
