Hi everyone.
First post here and I'll try to start with my experience with the lavatube and various cartos hoping to help new LT owners.
When I bought it a couple of months ago I didn't know that it can't handle DC cartos, at least the widely spread 1.5ohm ones. So, after the first disappointment I started experimenting with all kinds of cartos from SR & LR Boges to DC cartos of various resistance. Lastly, I tried the single coil 2.8ohms XLs from a vendor I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention. For some reason they perform better than the equivalent DCs. More vapour, lighter draw and I might be even getting better flavour out of them. They still are not as impressive as the Boges but they are worth to try if you don't want to cut your tanks to fit a regular sized carto and still use the Lavatube. It's as if they were invented for those of us who want to use an XL sized tank on the LT.
Just have in mind that they don't come pre-punched and that there are two kinds of single coil XLs, a standard XL and a slightly shorter version. You'll need to pick the longer version to match the length of a regular DC tank.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you have to bump the volts up to at least 4.5 to get a descent amount of FTH which reduces the battery life dramatically.
Cheers
