When/If I get mine I'm gonna play around with it for awhile first so as to determine if I would need to send it back for any faults, then I'm gonna put Arctic Fox firmware on it. I have AF on my Presa 100 TC and love it to death now.

What advantages are there to using Arctic Fox?

A whole lot of advantages.

1. if your, say, Presa stops vaping because the battery voltage is down to 3.35v you can change that in Arctic Fox by resetting the battery cut off down to 3.1v, and get longer usage of your battery before you have to change or re-charge.

2. If your battery charger and DMM read your voltage at 4.22 volts on a fully charged battery, but your mod reads 4.18v, you can recalibrate your mod thru Arctic Fox firmware to read 4.22v.

3. you can re-calibrate your screen to time out at different times, my Presa timed out at 30 seconds, I was able to change that to 12 seconds and not risk any burnt screen pixels.

4. in Arctic Fox you can choose between a Digital or Analog clock either with or without the Date also showing.

5. it also gives you the option for a "Live Resistance" show of your coil.

6. it will give you the option of showing a "Live Voltage" showing of your battery, plus show active battery sag.

7. With Arctic Fox you get 3 different screen profiles, Foxy, Circle, and Classic which you can configure any way you want.

There's plenty more options available, and you don't have to be tethered to a computer to make most changes.

Interested ??

Finally !!!

My Black one from WisMec.Org has arrived. It took 25 days from Order to Delivery (by Netherlands Post).

I've got one of my 2 ½ year old 25R's in her and vaping in Power mode, set at 7.5 watts with my Black Berserker on top. The screen looks the very same as what the screen on my Presa does BTW, and the controls also work the same. So just a smaller version of the Presa. I like very Much.

I had never ordered from Sourcemore before...but when I ran across a Sale with the P80 listed for $23.40 with FREE shipping...I jumped...

It also took about 25 days to arrive...but it isn't like I didn't have other Mods (25?, 30?) to use while I was waiting for it...

Okie Dokie ricks, here it is with my Black Berserker on top;

P1010321 (Large)ecf.JPG

and that space you all see between the Berserker and P80 is from the built up platform surrounding the 510 connection on the P80, and will be that way with most all toppers one puts on the P80. I measured that space to be about ¼ mm in height between the two, but it does look worse in the photo than it really is in person. This whole setup you see here only measures a total of 132mm's in height. I think that that is a stealthy setup for Out & About.

I also experienced a time with this New P80, like someone else in this thread, when I took a longer than expected vape and held the fire button down too long (past the 10s cutoff time), and the P80 up and shut off (WisMec Firmware version 1.01 here). After doing the 5 click turn on, I was thinking that, this is just a safety feature, to give the board time to cool down again and really no big deal. I wouldn't have thought that until I had installed Arctic Fox on my Presa 100TC (a few weeks ago), which now gives the Circuit Board Temp (as just one added nice feature in that firmware), and I saw it rise from the low 70's to about 105°F when I accidentally did the same thing with it (except my Presa 100TC's and 75TC's don't just up and shut off like the P80 does, they just time out).

I think I will run my New P80 for the 3 month warranty period (I think I can Last that long) before I install Arctic Fox on it too like my Presa 100TC (which was WELL out of Warranty when I installed Arctic Fox on it).

My New P80 is 80mm tall, my Presa 75TC is 85mm tall (an earlier 18650 Power Supply), and my Presa 100TC is 94mm tall (a 26650 Power Supply), all just measured by me to give ya'll comparison figures, if someone was wondering as to the height of the 3. The Firmware works, acts, and looks, the same as the stock Presa 100's and 75's do. The bottom battery door seems to work very nicely and closes securely when shut. (I call them Power Supplies now, as No Mod's were done, and no Flashlights were hurt in this mini review);)

One thing I have just noticed, is that when I have set my P80 down for a while without vaping it (20 or 30 minutes) it will turn itself OFF, it did this 2 or 3 times to me already, and I just got this this morning and have been using it since. Annoying !! I'm gonna look for a New Firmware update from WisMec and see if that is corrected, as I don't want to wear out the fire button.

Well, I just looked on WisMec.Com for an Updated Firmware Version to my supplied V1.01 and it looks like I have the newest Firmware available. RATS !!:(

I guess Arctic Fox might be coming Sooner rather than Later.;)

I just re-installed that V1.01 firmware ricks, I already had a copy of it on my Computer prior, as I knew I would prolly get one, eventually. Hopefully it was a botched install from the Factory (or just a glitch, like software sometimes does on the computer), as my re-install went swimmingly. So we will see.

Well, maybe that did the trick ricks (re-installing the firmware v1.01 from my computer), as I have left my P80 on, but untouched, for just over an hour, and I picked it up and vaped away, no problems at all. When I go to bed I will leave it on and see what happens when I wake up and try to vape it. Strange though, but it seems to be fixed and running Like a Scared Rabbit.:thumb:

    Somewhere between here and there
I know this thread is for the p80 but the talk about preheat made me think about the revenger mod that I won a while back. It has a mode called CCW where you can set the wattage for each part of the time cycle that you are vaping it. So I set it high at first like a preheat and then ramp it down as the time increases. I think it's a pretty neat function.

Your Post fits right in hittman, your Good. We had been talking about Arctic Fox a little here, that also has that feature, but I think it is called "Curves" or something like that. It looks interesting for sure, but I haven't even tried it on my Presa, I was thinking that it would be more suitable for TC than Power Mode, IDK, maybe not. Arctic Fox also will let you do that very same thing with the battery discharge curve (and I have gotten into that and played around). Since we are talking Arctic Fox again, here is a Cut & Paste of the Supported Devices it can be downloaded onto (although the Cut & Paste kind of scrambled the list out of order some), and you can see that the Sinuous P80 is included, as is most WisMec devices.
