Edit- I am a nitwit. Problem I was having was a "wobbly" battery *18650* regardless of how I adjusted the pins.

Solution- My atty *Tohb* has an adjustable 510 center post. made contact, was further able to adjust pins, and no more battery "wobble".

Warning- Some atty's might not push the contact pin far down enough even after being adjusted to make a stable non-wobbly connection.

Did you realise that the contact pin which slides up to meet the atty has a concealed telescopic part which unscrews quite a way? That would solve your wobbly battery problem.

WARNING: If you overdo this, you will end up with my problem. Screwing down the top cap will force the SS insert out of the top of the 510 top cap rendering the mod useless. Luckily I think there is an easy fix, I just have to get the delrin out to be able to screw the nut back onto the insert. *sigh*

Just an update, if there is anyone out there whose Sir Lancelot 510 top cap SS insert falls out, here is how to fix it. I want to post this here because there is absolutely no information out there on the Internet of how to fix this problem.

Problem: The SS insert has fallen out, and the insert is threaded. There is a threaded nut which secures the insert, but the nut has fallen inside the cap, and the only way to fix the problem is to get to the nut, but the the hole in the top of the cap is too small, and on the bottom the delrin is in the way. The delrin will not move no matter how hard you push

Fix: Remove the 510 top cap from the mod, and rest it between two DVD jewel cases. The plastic of the jewel cases is soft and will not damage the sides of the top cap. The uppermost lip on the top cap should be the only thing supporting the top cap, and the top cap should not be in contact with your workbench, i.e elevated. If the SS insert is in, remove it. You will see the nut, loose inside the top cap. With a screwdriver, move the nut so that it is central and out of the way. Put a long delrin drip tip down inside the top cap. The drip tip should be inverted, so that the mouthpeice is pointing downwards. The drip tip should be resting on the inner rim of the delrin.

Now give the drip tip a good whack with a hammer. The amount of force you have to use is nerve wracking, but the delrin will come out.

Now you can reseat the insert, put the nut back on and tighten it, and replace the delrin. Hope this helps somebody, because apparently it is a common occurence with the SL
