Site Outages

[Mr. Tasty Vapor]

Well, it seems our web host is content to toy with us and our business. The site has been up and down constantly these past couple of days.

We can assure you in the next day we will be making the permanent switch to another web host. One far far less flaky, unreliable and treating our concerns and business with a level of triviality that we find completely unacceptable.

The current web host also does NOT offer the level of security that we absolutely demand in protecting our customers.

So, we're leaving Canaca.com and signing up with GoDaddy.

The files have been transferred, we're working the bugs out now and we should be re-pointing the DNS info, then VOILA, Tasty Vapor will have a new home, we ALL don't have to deal with the constant site outages anymore and you can order to your hearts content.

These are not easy challenges to meet and it seems that the past month has been nothing but new challenges, which ARE being met with a high level of efficiency. This is one more hurdle and we extend a heart-felt "thank you" for those who have stuck with us, despite our challenges.

Thank you. Be sure that you will be rewarded with a bug free site, with no outages, payment security and liquids, which given our new batches of nicotine, should be better than ever.

As much of a trial as this last month has been for you, there's something to be said for getting hit with all the crap at once. You stay in adrenaline-fueled crisis mode for a while and, once you get through it, you get to start fresh -- new server, new facilities, new nicotine -- with all the bugs worked out.

Be sure to not have your account auto re-register itself with go daddy! if you make your domain name profitable enough, they have let many domain names expire, not follow through with the automatic payments, and then sell the domain to the highest bidder. just make sure you pay them everytime it expires manually!

network solutions is very good and reliable my sites have not gone down at all with them since 2002, a little cheaper i bel. then godaddy, you dont pay for danica patrick in advertisements.... good commercials by the way

I never had Godaddy not auto-renew my domains. I have all my domains set that way, so as to not have my moonport.org domain expire and be hijacked by a ......... the next day. GoDaddy has a lot of good tools for domain management.

I've been very happy with GoDaddy for hosting and domain name registrations. As a plus, they're far more economical than Network Solutions.

LOL! you crack me up big guy. and yea, i haven't had any of my domains not reregister themselves yet, but they haven't been very profitable or made for that reason anyways, i have found A TON of stories about it happening to other people while doing research for a host. Just saying! it has happened!

I am in dire need of some juice!!! After a little more than 2 mo. with no analogs. I placed my order last week. But ran out of good juice a few days ago. Been trying to make it with what little I have left of some crap juice. But I broke down and bought a pack of analogs. Only smoked a couple of them so far, but I sure do miss my AC juice!!

Anyway waiting on my GCC and AC juice. Cant wait till I get them!!!

Been building sites for years now and I still get some IT people that laugh when I tell them I use Godaddy. Never had a problem with them. Some of my sites have been a tad slow, but when I call them, they have always been willing to work with me. Only issues I had was forgetting to lock down and secure my FTP, but that was my fault. Cheap and reliable always wins in my book!
