Try saying "bomb" on an airplane the next time you feel like exercising that imaginary "right".

I say bomb quite often when I'm flying. It's become a joke with the guys at the tower at my local airstrip. It's the nickname of my plane after the test flight when I was buying it ended with a blown engine. She blew as soon as the wheels touched down. Got her really cheap and fixed her up.

He he I guess I should have added on a
"Commercial flight".
The joke wouldn't have gone over quite as well as it would with pals.

Lol, usually not. But I do know of a couple pilots that had a little fun, and scared the heck out of a flight attendant when the inflight movie was "Meet the Fockers." They chanted in unison when Stiller did his "bomb ba bomb bomb bomb" speech.

But, on topic, I agree with you. Freedom of speech and douchbaggery are two different things. Some things shouldn't be said or done in some places. I'll never agree with vaping in non-smoking areas unless it is proven beyond a doubt to be risk free and the general public understands that.

Intense discussions here.

On the bright side, I met my wife on a bus going to that park (we were from different cities and part of a group having a convention in St. Louis). We spent the day together riding the coasters, et al. Just had our 28th anniversary a few months ago.

uncle Bob is obnoxious right? People that wear too much perfume are obnoxious right? Most people are annoyed by them and don't like them right?

Rules or no rules, why would you want to be like them?

The point is I'm not like them. Still, after quitting smoking, I'm still considered more intolerable. I see this as a precedent. A precedent that will, eventually, become normal. Once it's normal to ostracize vapers, legislation will be normal. Tax will be normal. And, under Obama care, will be treated as a tobacco product. So....50% penalty. Let me break down the numbers.

Policy - $1600
Subsidy - $1200
You pay - $400
Smoker - $1200 (add 50% of the policy on the payment)

Not to mention $50 for 20 ml once taxed.

"Congrats. You quit smoking. Here is your penalty, err...reward. Good job. Now stay away from us. Your success may influence children. "

But if you want to do something that bothers other people, you are like them.

Heck, I'm a vapor and I don't want to eat in a restaurant where people are vaping (for example), nor do I really care to be anywhere where a bunch of people are vaping. I just don't enjoy smelling/seeing other peoples clouds.

I can imagine how non-vapers feel about it. Has nothing to do with children or dangers or taxes or government involvement.

When I was younger I used to snap my gum all the time when chewing gum (loudly). There was no law or rule against it and I did it all them time (grocery stores, malls, etc.). As I got older, I realize how obnoxious it was and stopped doing it. Vaping (to me) is similar. It's just obnoxious to some people, so I choose not to subject them to it.
