I've been holding off on doing a review of the S6 until I had a good chance to try it out. The new has worn off now, so I feel like I can write a more objective review.

First off, everything you've heard about the craftsmanship and quality is true. It's a very well designed and made device. I expect it will last for years to come. Every part is precisely machined, all the threads mate together perfectly, it's just 100% in the quality and design department.

The button and overall design are very ergonomic. I wasn't sure about the end button design when I ordered, but it was easy to get started with and became like second nature after a day or two. The device is small and light enough I can drop it in my t-shirt or jacket pocket so it's always at hand. After six weeks I haven't had a single problem with the device accidentally firing while placed button down in my pocket. The ears, as I call them, protect the button from accidental engagement quite well.

My S6 is designed for the 901 atomizer, and all brands and types of atomizers I've tried have fit perfectly on the adapter.

I don't treat my S6 like a work of art, it's a tool that keeps me from smoking cigarettes, and it's proven quite effective. If I'm out working in the dirt, or setting on the couch watching TV, my S6 is there when I need it. It's been dropped, kicked, scratched, and all sorts of other abuse and it just keeps on working.

I have to be a quite picky to really come up with any problems with the device, but for full disclosure I'll list them here.

Once, dirt or debris got in the adapter and partially shorted it. This lead to decreased vapor production. Cleaning the adapter corrected the problem and it hasn't happened again.

Also, if you work in a dirty environment, like outdoors, the device can occasionally get grit in the button mechanism. It mostly just causes a noise when the button is pressed, but sometimes can require a slightly harder button press to get the switch to engage. A quick wipe of the button and inside of the body with a dry towel has always corrected the issue.

The vaping time on the S6 isn't great. I get 2-3 hours out of a set of CR2 batteries. That said, I wouldn't trade the S6's portability for longer life. It seems like a nice compromise between battery life, size and weight.

Finally, the aluminum will scratch, so be prepared for it. You can polish it if it bothers you. After some time the finish will loose it's mirror like quality and get sort of a softer shine, then the scratches aren't really noticeable except under close inspection.

I wouldn't mind having a bigger mod with longer battery life for around the house, but honestly, I think the S6 will always be the PV I throw in my pocket when I head out to work, the store, etc... It's a great device and I would certainly buy it again.

Great review

Had mine a little more than a week. Definately has become my all time favorite custom PV. I was amazed the first moment I took it out of the silk pouch.

I like it so much I ordered another one, two of the Precise units and found / bought one of the original T1's.

Excellent craftsmanship, the fit and finish are top notch and the design is very simple and it just works. I run my S6 @ 3.7v and get around 7 or 8 hrs on a 14500.

If and when the "Big Batt" model comes out, I'll be getting at least one.

Great review DJ...I too love my SS...And yes you are 100% right about the dirt in the adapter...Happened to me.... Dropped it while playing baseball.. But a quick clean up fixed the problem right up.....And i do agree with you DJ My SS is my go to device....Although i have been finding my self using another one of my mods more and more lately do to poor batt vaping time on the SS....When you say 2-3 hours, you are defiantly not kidding...So yeah to sum this whole thing up....I love my SS, and i would say that it is my go to device 100% of the time...But unfortunately it's not the case any more...Use to be though,When i first got the SS that was it for me, that was my go to device 100% of the time...But since i got more time on my hands lately, and more time translates to more vaping...I'm not using my SS as much as i use to.....But to anyone out there, looking for a quality device that works 100% of the time, this would be my recommendation....

Yeah i have to agree with you there Brock "If and when" i think is the key in your post for me....I wish David would give us an update or something....Kind of left out here in a limbo....I need something that can last me more then a few hours of Vaping at 6 Volts....But for some reason David is being real evasive with this Big Batt Mod...Don't know why though....I personally would love to know the progress of this thing or at least something....Although I cannot speak for anyone else out there, But i'm willing to bet That there are a few more people out there that would like an update on this thing.....Well I certainly hope he comes out with it though, and not abandon the whole Big Batt Mod idea/project...I guess time will tell....

I have had mine a little over a week. Once I got the washer adjusted to 3.7 and 6.0 volt it worked great. It is light and easy to use. It looks a great and works great. The only problem I have is the 6.0 volts kills atomizers. It killed 5 before I knew what to do. I have not decided to get the HV atomizers yet. I have some many regular 510 atomizers I hate to buy more. I had to quit using the 6.0 because I was afraid of losing more atomizers. It was hard to quit since it produces a much better TH and vapor.

Is anybody else having a problem with their atomizers. Should I get some HV.

I would recommend the Super 6 but I don't recommend the Silver Conductive Grease from grainger. It cost $40 for just a tiny tube. There are other silver conductive grease that are much cheaper (but I already order it)

I also have noticed once you remove the switch with the spring on it its
hard to get it back in there. (I have to slide it in several times before it will drop out the end)

I am not listing problems I have had just some things I have noticed. I would definitely buy it again.

I noticed that early on and then never again. Either you develop a feel for it or it loosens up a little. The eraser end of a pencil works nicely as a gentle nudge into place tool also. =)
