Purchased an eliquid last week and was skeptical about the whole steeping process. It was very watery when I got it and vaped it right out of the mail and did not like it at all. That all before I understood steeping. Been shaking it everyday and now I am noticing the liquid is getting thicker and the strong smell is down (left the cap off for a day as well). Still don't feel it is ready to vape to my liking, but amazed about this whole steeping thing. I almost threw out the bottle when I got it.

Yes flavors can be quite intriguing at times.
I've been surprised by the way certain aspects of a juice can change in different types of tanks.

I've got one flavor that has been steeping for 5 months and I'm sure it will never be vapable. Won it as part of a prize package several months ago. Probably should just toss it but never know if I might be glad I have it one day. I add it to other flavors occasionally just to try and sneak it past my taste buds.

I'm just sitting here refilling my tanks for the day. Recently discovered cheap Evod type tanks and have been playing around improving the performance on them. I mean if I messed one up I'd be out a whopping $2.35. No big deal.
I have 2 Bottles of VapeWild juice that I bought back in July. In the eGrip and Aspire BVCs that I was using back then the flavor was VERY weak. So I wasn't expecting much when I dumped the 'Bloody Good Orange' in my tank, just thought it was time to use it up. That Orange flavor almost jumped out and slapped me in these tanks! Surprise surprise! Did the same with 'Blackberries' with similar results. Very pleased.

Guess the moral of this story is... When you're checking flavor reviews always look for reviews that list the type of equipment the reviewer is vaping on.

And if you do a flavor review list your equipment for the folks reading it

I ran across a bottle of Strawnilla that hadn't seen the light of day for several months. I didn't like it at all when I first got it so put it away. I'm going to order some more now and open it then put it away for a very long time. It was so damn good after sitting for so long.

One of my favorite flavors needs about a month of steeping before it's prime. Longer is better. I was skeptical the first time around, too. Tried this particular juice and hated it with a passion. Put it on the back shelf, planning to eventually give it away or trash it, and forgot all about it for about 5 weeks. Was feeling froggy one night and decided to try it in a RDA and my mind was blow. Threw it in a tank and fell in love.

Many juices are made to order, so there's practically no steep time beforehand.

Thickening is a surprise...
But here's my everyday flavor - I make it myself. Identical recipe in these bottles, but one is about 10 days old. SOMETHING is changing over steep time for certain!

Yes I had heard/read somewhere that Evods had the rep of being particularly good with fruit flavors :)

and not so great with the sweet creamy dessert-y type stuff ....?

Can't say about desserty stuff... just doesn't sound to me like something I'd enjoy. May find out I'm wrong one day.

"steeping" applies to many things. including cooking... ever made a pot of chili, soup, etc? ever noticed how the chili taste better the next day than the day it was made? flavors have had time to mend & blend..

I don't believe in steeping my chili. I like the flavors to be separate, exploding, fresh, and hitting all the taste notes, just like in my pizzas. But I do agree some steeping of e-liquids may be necessary.

my question is , if we pay good money expecting a good product shouldn't we expect great ejuice , it should already be steeped ?
Asked the seller if it's pre-steeped, the reason why it's not pre-steeped most of the time is because they are usually selling too much of it and can't keep up :p

Some flavors like VZ for example are (at least for me) useless without a good month of steeping and daily 5 min. shaking.
Old Captain, still one of my favorites makes it's full potential after at leas 4 weeks of steep time. Than you can get all that fruity notes out in a vape. If i try it on a first day, it's just an average tobacco-fruitish juice, but the longer it sits on the shelf, the better it gets.
Same thing with French Pipe ( although that one is not same any more), at least a month of a good steep time before i even think to use it.
Lots of other flavors too,but most of them are tobacco like flavors. Fruit ones, well, they get better with time, but not so much better that you want to wait for a whole month :)
