Hello,

I stopped smoking 10 days ago and yesterday I had two skin inflammations in my neck and two in my hand. This morning, I see them burst and reddish in color. I started vaping immediately the day I stopped smoking. I have been vaping 100% VG last 7 days.

Is this acne from smoke quitting or some allergy from vaping? This is annoying as it is very hard to corner the cause when you start immediately vaping after quitting.

Hope someone can shed some experience...

Thanks all for your help. Great Community here.

Wheelofdelight,

Kinda interesting how each body reacts. I am glad for you as well and glad to everyone who is able to quit smoking. I am really not much worried about them at least as long as they last short term only. I went into a board for smoking quitters with different methods, I saw the theme of acne across high rate of quitters. It is clearly accepted as a detoxification process the body goes through.

I had a HORRIBLE breakout after 2 weeks of vaping. I had 3 giant monsters on my face. For anyone coming across this, here's what you do;

1 - increase your water intake
2 - steam your face until your pores open
3 - wash with a cleanser that has a gentle exfoliant (exfoliant is important)
4 - pat dry, apply PURE ALOE VERA to your face (as long as you are not allergic to it)
5 - Apply ice to the pimples. wrap up some ice inside a small packet of aluminum foil. It will stay colder longer and if you wrap it tight should keep it from leaking.
6 - do this 2x day until acne subsides
