I am thankful for the opportunity to forgive. For the chance we are given everyday to let go of resentment. For the possibility of having a greater understanding of what someones' motives were and to actually have empathy rather than hatred toward them. Forgiveness is not alway easy, I would even say it is not always possible/probable but we do have a chance every day to forgive those who have hurt us.

My girlfriend of over a year just broke with me, and these feelings suck. I am very, very sad, but I know it will not last forever, and for that I am thankful.
