I am thankful for the way that I was raised. Even tho I grew up in a city, we still gardened for all of our fruit and veggie needs. I learned how to cook using fresh from the garden items. Now, with the economy being what it is, I can still feed my family mostly from the garden. Thanks Mom and Dad, I know you can hear me even if you are no longer in this realm.

I am thankful for the joy that makes me happy, and the pain that makes me grow; the sun that keeps me warm, and the cold that keeps me indoors with the ones I love; the food that we eat every night, and the lack of food I've experienced that has taught me to be resourceful; the company of friends, and the lonely times that have helped me to know what I really love about my friends; and, well, pretty much everything that has ever happened to me, whether good or bad, because it has all made my world what it is.

I am thankful for this thread/contest and the people who have shared intimate details of their lives, who have opened their hearts and have shown their humor. It is heartwarming to see the humanity, the compassion, the joy and the hope expressed in these posts. It reminds me that you all are not just "ECF Members" but are caring people with hopes, dreams and struggles of your own.

I'm thankful for friends who are always there when you need them. The ones I can go 6 months or a year without talking to then pick up the conversation like it never stopped. The ones who've flown across the country to help me move back home by driving back with me. The ones who will always be considered closest friends, regardless of distance or time between us.

Today - I am extremely thankful that I stayed up later than I normally do, because my lovebird got his neck twisted in some plastic that I didn't even realize was inside of his cuddle hut and almost strangled himself. He was struggling and flapping his wings, and I jumped up and literally ripped the entire hut off the side of his cage when I realized he was twisting it tighter and tighter around his neck.

My little Milo is still my brat boy today, because I happened to be up. I shudder to think what could have happened had I been asleep or at work. :(

VERY thankful indeed today......

I'm thankful that so far my initial (and very overpriced) e-cig kit will now be responsible for SIX people who will quit smoking! I never thought it would go so far!

First, that kit got me to stick with it for three weeks, before I bought my eGo.
My mother used it for a week, bought an eGo the day I received mine, and hasn't had a cigarette in a month.
My father tried it, saw my new kit and went straight for the eGo two weeks ago, and is slowly tapering off the smokes.
My best friend at work kept the old kit for a week, and smoked her last cigarette Monday, after I gave her my spare eGo battery.
We then passed it down to another coworker yesterday, who took it and showed her mother. Both of them have now purchased a kit and are waiting for them to arrive!

I'm SO thankful that I'm able to spread vaping as far as I can, to get as many new non-smokers as possible!
