BTW - I did watch the YouTube video of the Kgo vs AW IMR 18650. That was rather impressive.
Now that some of you have had your KGO's for a while, are you still happy with them? Are you getting the time between charges you expected? I'm having mixed thoughts about mine (comparing it to a standard Riva) and was wondering what others think.
More than likely they're the same thing. The KGO can be boxed from the manufacturer(SLB) as an eGo, KGO, or Riva(if I bought enough I could probably have them box it as the BrentGo). I don't know for sure who made the "Riva" you're using, but if it was SLB then yes it's the same thing.
Awesome pic! Kewl ash(less) ashtray!
Does anybody have the ability to do a side-by-side comparison of a KGO and a "standard" Riva/ego/etc? One with an EMDCC would be excellent. I have a Riva SE now, would like to move up, just curious how much longer the KGO would be.
The battery on a KGO is 1 inch longer than the battery on a Riva SE.
Just to follow up, Bill from NWVapors.com just emailed me to say that he's going to
cannibalize one from a battery he has on hand and send it off.
He mentioned that he's getting replacement buttons shipped from the factory so anyone that
winds up in a similar situation will be able to get them from him soon.
Just had a weird issue with my new kGo set that you all may be able to help me with.
I have been using an EMDCC with my kGo batts for a week. All of a sudden, I pull one of the batts off the charger, drop the EMDCC on it and when I push the button it flashes 4 times. Thought the batt was bad but I tried an XL dual coil and it fired fine. Then I put the EMDCC on my other batt and it is working fine.
What causes the 4 blinks and why would it do it on one batt but not another with the exact same carto?
That happened to me with one EMDCC. You need to lift the center post on the carto for the KGO that blinks. When you put the carto on the other KGO... It will work but it will also push the center post back down. You'll have to lift the center post again when you put it back on the KGO that flashed.
