I have 2 chargers......one says output 420 maH (Desan) and another says output 240 maH. One charges twice as fast as the other. If yours is 240 that might explain some of the slowness of charging but I suspect it's a battery problem. I thought the 420 maH Desan was what Brent had in his KGO kits.

Yep, mine is a 420 Desan. I'm doing a second charge right now on battery #1 which is three hours in already, so we'll see how long it takes. Both batteries from the kit took about 7 hours to charge on the first charge after the initial 8 so they both are showing the same charging time.

Use the same cord, that's what is fine tuned to the battery, but the USB brick that goes in the wall might be a spot wonky for whatever reason. Heck, even try a different outlet in the house and see if anything changes.

Yes, that is what I meant, I have some bricks from my ego charging sets. The cord will still be the Devon 420 unit. I'll have to wait until batt #2 is charged and batt #1 looses it charge.

I wonder if your charger is trying to trickle charge the battery up to 4.2v? I know some do that to keep from overcharging and blowing stuff up.

Have no clue, but it is the one that came with the kit. Let me know how long yours takes. Are you using the supplied brick and Devon 420?

Holy crap. Not even 2 hours and I've got a done light on. Went from blinking no battery to done light. Something is up with the charging situation on your end.

Afraid so, it just now turned green. That was a full 8 hours of charging. It must be doing a trickle like you said. Tomorrow I will try another outlet and a different brick.

Edit: Brent seems to think the factory labeled the cable part of the charger set with the wrong label and packaged it into the kit. He says it's acting like I was charging from a regular ego 510 charger, that would charge the small ego bats....he's sending me a new unit. Brent gives great CS!

I've found my Kgo comes off the charger at 4.2 volts and decreases to 3.5 at cutoff. I wasn't measuring under a load but with carto removed. Is this what everyone experiences?

I think that's pretty accurate. Everything I've seen says just over 3.8v under load. I heard cutoff was 3.3v but 3.5 is also likely. Maybe brent can chime in :)

I'm about a week into using my KGOs and I think they are perfect in all respects. Not only are they sleek and nicely manufactured, they keep on hitting so consistantly compared to other ego types I've tried. My other mods are really getting jealous now......If I had to choose between all these devices, my KGOs would be the ones I'd pick.

Yup. I could have bought a couple Darwins with the money I spent finding this setup - but the KGO/EMDCC makes me happy.

I totally agree! In fact I ordered a 2nd kit this weekend and it's arriving today .. I wanted to have 2 more batteries and another charger just as "back up". Every day I'm amazed at the power the K-Go puts out and the longevity of each battery charge .. it truly is a fantastic PV (and yes, my other mods are also jealous of my K-Go) :D
