sleepy time recipe

As the title suggest, would there seems to be no sleepy time recipe created for that mellow wane down vape for ending the day, or to allow you unwind. Any ideas?

I would love something like this but haven't found any chamomile flavoring anywhere. Chrysanthemum and Hibiscus, yes. But no chamomile. Just thinking out loud but I wonder if it can be extracted somehow.

glasseye i think those flavours i've seen them around as natural flavors, not mistaken crysanthemum indeed.

maybe we can try the slow cooker method of extraction

Yes! I went and watched some youtube video of making a tincture with a slow cooker. Some added grain alcohol, some added water and VG...I'm definitely going to try this. No alcohol though, I'll stick with PG and or VG. I need to buy a slow cooker. lol

I you don't have a slow cooker a work around is low oven temp.

just set a small pan in a bigger one filled with boiling water.

If you don't have two pan (one smaller than the other) this is the most economical way to go:

you really don't need a huge pan as I doubt you're going to make that much juice at a time and actually a bigger pan can be a problem... this one has a well (like a wok) where a small amount can sit in the curved bottom. And the ridges on it accomodate different sizes of pans for the water. Love mine.

I found a more economical way, I borrowed a crock pot from a friend!
I have some sleepytime vanilla in right now. I hope this works.

A light mint tea flavor might work. Mint is suppose to induce relaxation and help sleep. Peppermint, spearmint. Perhaps some green tea in there.

I just made extracts from Teavana teas and it worked wonderfully

1 tbsp of tea
2 tbsp of propelene glycol

I put it in open small coffee cups and then put those cups in a deep frying pan and added water until it reached half way up the cups. Then I turned the heat on as low as it would go and left it for 45 mins. Then I strained it with a tea strainer and filtered with a coffee filter in a funnel when I put it in the bottle.

Mixed it at 15% with 5% brown sugar.

YUM!

EDIT: This is the cheap and lazy way to do double boiler.

They have the MOST amazing teas I have ever had! I did the tropical rooibos, which is my favorite, and the other was strawberry lemonade, which actually vapes better.

I also extracted using PGA, but it wasn't nearly as successful.

Making these extracts have finally given me some DIY confidence. Good luck and let us know what you come up with!

I will definitely report back with my pedestrian sleepytime teas (while waiting for some Teavanas to come in the mail). lol

I probably messed up the first batch already, having read the extract thread after I put the mix in the crockpot. Derp. I added some water first before PG. Not too much but maybe enough so it's not very vapeable. So I put it some CS Harvest Peach tea with just PG.
