I've been vaping for the past 5 days and loving every second of it. I do have one issue though.
In my starter kit, I got 2 atties, one that is working fine, and one that is slightly...erm, different.
I've noticed with this atty it gives me good performance with a topped off cart, but doesnt seem to wick as well as the other.
The bridge on the one atty is almost touching the side of the housing, and it only looks like one side has wicking on it (problem atty)
My question would be, would a cart mod help this atty out, or should I just grab another one? I dont want to toss it out, and I would love to use it as long as possible. I do have 5 extra ones that I ordered, so just using another one wouldn't be a problem. Just wanna know if anyone has had this happen to them, and if they have had luck fixing it.
Thanks in advance :D

Hmmm. I really don't have an answer for you, but I just want to say don't throw it out. It may be defective (I've never had a defective one...don't think they're that prevalent)...but you can still put it to use. I've taking the bridge out altogether of a couple of my attys, then I use them for dripping. At least save it and consider removing the bridge later and using it for dripping. In fact....(maybe I'm a hoarder...don't know) I save everything. You never know when you'll find a use for something. Hopefully, someone else will answer you as well.

I don't plan on throwing it away, just trying to be frugal. I dont want to spend more money on atties right now, I'm really wanting to make a simple box mod, and get a couple cartos for it, and keep the 510 for when I'm working and in public. I already got a talking to at work because loss prevention caught me vaping in the office. I could only imagine what would happen if I had a AA battery case in my hand with an attie or carto sticking out....

I have to second JC... don't pitch the weird atty. Use it for dripping. It sounds like it might be damaged or just "special" out of the box. It should still work fine for dripping! If you are not familiar with this technique try this link for more info:

It does not sound like a repairable problem, so using it for cartridges is probably not an option.
