So I have had my Ego-c for a few days. Just filled the tank after I had an issue with the Vivi mini. So I filled the tank with my menthol that has tasted great before and I am getting a slightly burnt taste that hasn't been an issue before.

What am I doing wrong?

Wondering if anyone actually reads these new members questions.....

Are you using the Ego tank system?

If so take it apart and try to clean the atomizer. I had mixed results doing this. If cleaning does not work then replace the atomizer. The ego tank system atomizers were really temperamental for me and fried easily. I switched over to clearomizers on my ego batterys because I was so sick of dealing with the ego tank system.

As far as it being a real Ego. I ordered it from American liquids and everything looks legit to me. But then again, I think I fried my mini nova which I got from Vapor Kings, which didn't come in a box or anything. Nothing that showed it to be the real deal, however I believe they have a super reputation and their juices rock!.

Gosh, I am confusing myself.

This is just the little tank that comes with the Ego c. You know the one with the hole in the bottom. Do I need to change the atomizer? I have only had it for a few days but have been vaping very heavily, just because I am excited to have the new device. It is not a twist. either.
That is what I thought. Those atomizers burnt up on me fast. I would change the atomizer. You can try cleaning the old atomizer but I didnt have much luck with that.

but there is no wick material in the ego c, right? I mean you just pop they atty in there, then pop the tank in. I will do about 5 primer draws without firing, but only because someone in a video did it, lol. there is no cartridge, right?

There is wick inside the "spike" of the atomizer piece. It is very small but if you look close you can see the end of white string. WHen you prime you are drawing the juice into that tiny string. If you fire it with no juice in there things burn and it is pretty nasty.

Yes this actually is a rather clunky and outdated system. I found the atomizers to give up quickly and cost way too much. I also found the "tanks" to be leaky over time. After 2 weeks mucking with it I jumped ship to clearomizers though I still use my Ego-C batterys :)

I totally get why you would want a clearo. I got one, then washed it and it went kaput.

You might want to change the head in the vivi mini. You can get replacement heads fairly cheaply. If that is where the problem is.

I don't use the vivi novas I run a kangar protank and CE5's so I am not certain what went wrong when you washed it. Maybe someone that knows the Novas can chime in on that.
