Mail arrived today with the joyous items of happiness. Will be posting pics in a bit of the other 3 items, but for now will focus on the easiest and quickest to test, the new Slim line USB charger. First a big thank you to the V4L staff for shipping so quickly and giving me the opportunity to get started on the usual tests right away.
The slim line (SL) USB is an upgrade form factor wise to the original USB adapter which wasn't released too long ago. It's performance was amazing, but the lack of a black color option and bulky size was the only drawbacks imo. The SL USB fixes those two minor gripes. Like the first version, it too is rated for 5.1v/2.1a. Also like it's older brother it performs above specs. Started with a 3.3ohm cool carto on the pt, according to the trusty multimeter was actually getting 5.05v of power. Which translates to 1.53 amps, for a grand total of 7.73 watts (rounded up). Next came a wow carto at 2.3ohms, was getting 5.02v, which means it was pulling 2.18 amps for a grand total of 10.96 watts. As for the 2.1ohm carto test, passed it with flying colors. Actually still got 5.01v, putting it at 2.386 (rounded up again) amps. What really sets this apart from the previous version though is the new color option, and the smaller footprint.
Here are a few pics of it side by side with a slim line charger so you can better see the size of it...
