I spoke with my Dr because I'd just had some blood work done and had him on the phone anyway. I'm just getting over a cold as well. He said it's quite possible that the vapor is somewhat drying nasal passages and the post nasal drip from allergies/cold may have changed taste. (The taste seemed to mostly at the back of my mouth). Also, it's dehydrating and when you're dehydrated your mouth can taste saltier. I drank a lot of water last night, and this morning there was much less of the salty taste. I'm thinking the combination of nasal drip, not enough water, and reclined sitting so that it was dripping down the back of the throat is probably what happened. The Dr. wasn't concerned, just reminded me that I need to drink WATER (I'm a tea junkie), and he's thrilled about my vaping and very interested in how I'm doing with it. I sent him the CASAA information for his office as he's had others try vaping with disposables etc. that were interested but not satisfied with those devices. I also gave him some business cards with the forum address to pass to anyone interested.
