RDA Slow firing

Dual Coil
Each 7 wraps
3 mm diameter for the coil

I put the coils in a FT quasar clone rda (3 post set up, middle one being the common/positive?)

Trying to fire it on the PICO at 20 Watts, ohms read as .97. It takes a good 5 seconds for the coils to light up. That seems very unusual. What am I doing wrong?

One more thing. When I fire this, it seems one coil fires up much before the other one. Is that normal? This is my first dual coil build ever.

sounds the uneven coil is your problem. you need to strum/pinch those coils until both glows evenly from inside out. theres should be a couple youtube video tutorials on this.

.97 ohms seems a little off for 7 wraps of 28g on 3mm. I would recommend doing what frosc stated but also make sure your leads are tightened down firmly.

Try a staged heating coil, a smaller core will heat up faster, YouTube has lots of those

Unevenly heating coils is bad, try re-tightening your leads and scraping your coils until they light evenly. 20 watts is not a lot, try upping the wattage.
