Getting a few '504 error time outs'..... slow loading times since around 2pm....

Now getting 'do you want to leave the page' type warnings on simply posting a reply. A few more time outs as well. Is it only me?
Apparently, there's lots of upgrades and additions going on inside the box lately. Rolygate commented on forum speed and expansion and the intent to make it fast and keep it that way. I'm all for that!

It's been pathetically slow for two days for me. . .
I know the admins are working hard on these issues. . . I really do understand that. But, the ongoing problems are really starting to wear on me. I know several very active ECF members who have just stopped posting.

Yesterday I clicked on a email notification and it took me to the exact post it was supposed to. Sat there in awe.
Phewwww I thought it was just me . I did scan after scan and cleared my cache , history, etc . Glad I found this thread.
Good to know they are working on things. I have'nt been getting errors, but some pages having been taking ages to load, or just not loading at all. I'm sure all will be well in due time.

I must say, I looked at your choice of thread title and it made me smile. Made me think of The Princess Bride!
Now they are planning on undoing (probably the wrong word) what they did and putting the forum back the way it was. I'm not sure if this is good news or bad. 
I just upgraded from 6mbs DSL to 16mbs Cable. It's blindingly fast compared to the old DSL. VOIP test sites show that I'm getting rated speed with 10ms ping and 3ms jitter. I'm ready for the upgrade to be completed so that ECF is zip/zap fast.
Hardware upgrades can do just so much. I think we are loading the bandwidth down with personal picture and video link posts.
