I have been looking for a smaller indicator and haven't had much luck. This is the one I've been using but it's too big for most projects I want to build.

Battery Voltage Indicator

I've looked on mouser and digikey but I'm not very good at searching those sites for some reason.

I'm think maybe I should look at using a voltmeter circuit and using a plain jane LED indicator for display? Hmmm...maybe I can de-solder the one from madvapes and steal the circuit??

Yea, you can get stuff super cheap if you're willing to take the risk on China vendors. Shipping is slow and if you get a defective or wrong item, you're stuck with it. I've done it before, but I feel like it's a roll of the dice. Haven't gotted screwed yet. I imagine it also depends on who you use. I haven't used DealExtreme and probably won't if I can help it.

I don't know how much help that probe would actually be, probably not much. I was mainly just commenting on how cheap it is.

I love all the cool little goodies they sell at SparkFun. You could maybe fire off an email to them. They make custom stuff all time. Just need one like the MadVapes unit with smaller digits. They could do it for you.

.

I've bought from DealExtreme before and shipping is the slow boat from China.
Don't deal with Dino, waited 3 1/2 months for a refund because of non shipment. They don't respond to inquires. Had to go through PayPal for a dispute.

But, with the kit I can build a much more compact version. Appreciate the link
