This may seem completely off the wall, which most good ideas begin as, but what if we could power an ecig from the mini USB port on a smartphone? This obviously would not be your all day vape, but more of a back up in case your batteries die while out and about. Or if we wanted to make an all day vape, we could have a programmer program an app that allows us to push a button on the smartphone which would activate the ecig attached to the USB port. This is all dependent on the USB outlet being powered, does anyone know if this is the case? anyways, just an idea, let me know what you guys think.

I was just thinking about this myself, having a Droid Razr and all... I was thinking about making a microUSB powered atty since the port can output 5v if you pick the right leads. Of course every smart phone is different, so it would definitely take some hacking... but I think it can be done.
Cell phone batteries are really not designed for high amp draw. I doubt the micro usb on a cell phone is powered and if it was I wouldn't think much above 250mA.
Ive seen HTC batteries rated at 1200+ mah, but like Rexor said they arent really designed for high amp draw.
