Hmm, it does seem like YiHi is saying that the supposed SX1500 chipset is not genuine YiHi, so there is that. Reviews on the Smaug seem to be mostly positive, with the negative reviews being mainly quirks and aesthetic issues, namely, buttons rotating in their sockets, and a fingerprint magnet for a front cover (the glossy dragon side), or screws instead of magnetic door holders, one user posted that they prefer a spring-loaded 510 to the reverse threaded 510 connector the Smaug ships with. None of these, to me, are deal breakers. I don't mind which way my buttons face as long as I can distinguish between them. I own a cell-phone, a smart phone, it always has fingerprints on the screen, and unlike a cover, it has the functionality of being a SCREEN, that i have to look at to use. Screws don't bother me, it comes with a screwdriver, and i plan on charging from the micro port anyway. Springs wear out, and need replaced, a reverse threaded connector seems more efficient to me.
