Luxyloun Smaug 150watt Owners

Happy to say, I just ordered my Smaug Box 150w. Was debating between the Segali 150w and the ipv3. Actually bought the ipv3, but returned it after I found out the ipv4 is coming out a month later. I know the Smaug is fairly new, but I got a couple of questions to ask to the owners.

First off, how reliable is the usb charger. I''ve read problems charging via usb with the ipv3, Sh#t, ipv3 v2 got rid of it all together. Since the batteries, on Smaug, are lined up parrallel, are they safer to charge via usb? I saw a review video where he was charging a Luxyluon Unik box mod 150, but its single battery. It also doesn't come with an ac adapter. According to the reps, asked by the vendor; you can use your android usb adapter, but he told me that for some reason, the apple adapters wouldn't be recommended.

One major con is, the Smaug Mod v2 is coming out with a magnetic back and series type connection for batteries, judging by the pictures. So if your in the market for a Smaug, wait for the v2. Dont know if it will be able to charge via usb though. Another question for some owners, does the segelei silicon wrap, fit on the Smaug. Being a nice dragon logo. I'd want to protect it. Judging by eye, it seems the buttons line up, but the case will cover the LCD screen, which i dont mind.

Overall, imo the smaug looks like the best compared to its competitors: Ipv3 and Segelei 150w, in the same price range. So if ur like me, and deciding which to get, go Smaug. Some added info, the production manager of Segelei, broke away, and formed his own company Luxyluon. Hopefully, they do big things this year because im loving this vape progression!!! I'd hold off on buying the latest and greatest though, atleast until v2 comes out. Hope this helps, for all you Smaug owners looking for a review...

WoW, I guess no one really has this box. Kinda happy to hear that, its one of a kind. Finally received it, and its bad a#$!!! I think its way better then the ipv3 (which I had) and maybe the segali 150w. Thats just my opinion though. It looks so nice, im scared to drop it. If your in the market for one, wait until the magnetic back ones come out. Then the screw in back version, should be cheaper. -ArcH

I'm about to retrofit some 5mm x 2mm magnets into my battery cover (once the magnets arrive). Not sure exactly how just yet, but I will post a tutorial provided the result is good. The only other thing I would improve is to add a spring loaded 510 pin (its currently a adjustable left-hand-threaded copper flathead screw).

As for same price range mine was US$79.95. I think that may be a fraction cheaper than Segelei 150w or IPv3

Tell me how it goes. Already did the magnetic back conversion but found no point, for a charge it now via usb at home, and in my car. As for the spring loaded conversion, can you please post a step by step tutorial. As for the magnets, u could of bought them at radio shack, with the drill bit, and some super glue.

To be clear, I'm doing a magnetic installation but have no intention of installing a spring loaded 510 pin (although now you got me thinking lol).

I already have the glue and the drill bit, and the magnets cost me 86c online with free postage. I also don't own a car and don't have a radio shack anywhere close :)

I have a little review. I've had my Smaug 150 for a month now. For the price im very pleased. I wanted the highest wattage, dual battery, USB charge mod for a reasonable price, and this fit the bill perfect. Generally I've run many different atty's on it for like 3 days straight each to get a good test on all vape situations. Tons of battery life just running Kayfuns, and Orchids, will step right up and run drippers too. This week I've been running maxed out at 150 watts, .3 ohm, on a big dripper. No issues here after a month.
