Smilies in sig gone?

Oops...hope I didn't step on anyone's toes here. I was reading the thread and minimized it to pull up photoshop to help Katdarling out and came back to see she already had a sig done for her. Kat if you want it it's yours. Jerry, sorry, didn't mean to jump in where I wasn't needed

It's not a problem Ever1ast. All I did was to turn her current sig into a banner, but you made her a very nice banner. Whichever one she prefers, I won't be offended.

I kept wondering why my sig's smiley was messed up - nice to know why now
But since I started using the "Blackend" color-scheme, almost all of the smileys look messed up anyway

EDIT: I'm sure no one noticed that my dyslexia kicked in on my first attempt at a custom banner, lol...

I don't know why they removed the option to keep a smiley in the signature. I think it would look cool but they obviously had a reason. Damn I didn't get to see that

since i'm no banner expert i had to find my own workaround. i uploaded my smiley to tinypic and then inserted that link into my signature.
so neo, if you want your smiley back, go for it!

I wonder.... is this fix also related to why my banner disappeared ?? probably not ...I guess ....I checked @ banner making place & they did not show up there either ?(image hosting issue maybe) & I have been clicking banners all day trying to find one to replace mine & they all seem to be having problems ????? I have also noticed that a lot of other folks are missing their banners also ???

Banners not appearing are usually caused by a mistake in your sig, a slow connection to the server hosting your sig, or the server hosting your sig has been blocked by ECF for some reason (usually a violation of our linking policy).

I had the banner that shows how many days with no analogs,money saved and like that....I guess because everyday or hour it changed they were annimated too? Or can nolonger be used?

No they aren't considered animated. most likely you have a slow sig server or an error in your signature.

My "smoke free since..." banner has stopped working as well. I used one from >>here<< and it worked fine until recently. Is there any way we can get back the use of these types of banners? I refer to my smoke free banner from time to time when trying to talk people in to quitting, haha.

johnny your banner provider is problematic. sometimes it serves an invalid image, other times it times out. early this morning it seemed to be working ok

Hm, that's no good. Is there another similar banner I could use from a more preferable banner host? My first banner host shut down indefinitely, the one I'm using now worked great for everyone and now doesn't seem to be working anymore.

I was just banner searching ...& reloading my old one like I have done over & over for the last few days ....being mindboggled as to why I could not see my (or most others) banners & wala it just started working ??? hmmmm not sure what changed ...but I appreciate it
