I got 2 Smilimizers to try out. Both of them have a filler taste that is very unpleasant. IS it me or does anyone else have this issue?

The cartos themselves are very good.. I dont care for the tips. I took them off and just used the metal tip as a dt.. Wish there was a whistle tip option..

I cant get past the filler taste in these.. Any help?

What do you usually use for vaping? Clearos? The only time I am able to taste polyfill is if I've been using a clearo for an extended period of time. Once I get used to the different device I don't notice it anymore. Although my taste buds aren't very sophisticated and taste is subjective.

doots, I think the filler taste is just inherent with carts. I have used clearos and other tank systems and they do have a "cleaner" taste, but as always it is a subjective matter. Personally, I think some juices taste better when using them in a carto as opposed to a clearo. I like the fact that the same juice takes on a complete different taste depending on which system I use. I was a huge eGo/mega carto fan.... then went to clearos and thought I would never look back. Then one day I picked up the mega cart again (same juice) and was surprised how much I liked the difference. Now I just kind of swing back and forth depending on my mood. That said, I can completely understand how you don't like the filler taste.

I love the smileos for a good change, but agree with you on the drip tip. I would also love to see a whistle tip, because the round one is just too big to be comfortable in my mouth. Other than that, I think it produces a great vape!

I've gotten the filler taste once with a Smileomizer. It was because I misgauged how much juice to put in. When I thought I had enough, I took a few puffs, everything normal and then I took a really long drag, and BOOM. I tasted it. I was able to get rid of the taste with a combination of the Taryn spin and adding more juice. I didn't need to clean it out or anything. If this doesn't work for you, please email me at brandon@vapor4life.com.

Given that these are bigger than normal, is there an effective way of cleaning them to prolong their life, or to change flavors? I've seen kits like this :

Cartomizer/Atomizer Cleaning Kit - With 10ml Control Syringe, Luer-lock compatible w/cleaning tubes and instructions

But I'm betting that they are meant for normal size cartos. Is there a good way to clean these larger ones, or do you just keep refilling the same flavor for the life of the carto/smileo?

Thanks! :)

Very interesting looking cleaning kit. Would be interested to hear what others think about it working with the smileos as I want to get the most life out of them possible.

StealthyTx, I copied this from a different post:

"I simply soak it in 100 proof for about an hour and rinse with very hot water (not quite boiling), and then spin dry. I then try the next juice. I also use this method for my regular maintenance..."

Haven't tried to clean mine yet; only had them in use for about 3 weeks, still going strong! Hope this helps.

Thanks for finding this K9Luvr! I was trying to find this but I couldn't remember where it was :). I haven't tried this method, mainly because I haven't gotten to a point where I needed to just yet. If no one else chimes in, I'll try this, this weekend, and report back with my findings.

Ms. K9Luvr have successfully cleaned 4 Smileos. All you need to do is soak them in 80+proof alcohol for 12-24 hours depending on the juice, then reverse taryn spin them dry afterwards. Just keep in mind a few flavors are harder to clean out of them then others...

Thanx so much; I need to clean one of my 1st ones, it's been a month!
