I picked up a smok AL 85 after my Innokin TC100 died. I'm using a OBS Engine Nano, single coil, SS316L Triple Core Fused Clapton, reading at about 0.35 ohms. The build works very well on my other mod in TC (HohmSlice). With the smok I am getting absolutely no vapor production at all at the standard SS tcr .00092, 60 watt ramp, and 420*F. In fact, if I hold the fire button down for more than about 1 second it tells me it's temp protecting but it's not even getting hot enough for me to hear the coil firing. Any idea what I can do to make this thing work?

I had the same issue as you and this information was found on another forum/thread. From my understanding, it changes the resistance factor of the SS 316 and allows for a better vape to compensate for what the firmware is not doing correctly for SS 316 (which actually is a 92 TCR). Yes, it is still doing TC. If you up your wattage (to test), you will notice a pulsing during the vape which is an indication that it's reached your set TC and backed off on the wattage. You may want to play with the TCR and adjust between 102 - 125 to see what seems best for your SS wire being used. Not all SS wire are created equal. NOTE: I'm no expert, just passing along information that helped me.
