check settings , mine does not do this . I think its under settings and screen lock . there is screen time I set mine to 15 seconds to save little battery

I'm also running 1.2.2 and no auto lock, but it is an option. Very impressed so far, but I did notice a VERY minor click if I tap the bottom of the firing bar and I'm not sure if that was there when I got it. Otherwise, it's solid and the battery door is light years better than the ipv6x.
My only cons with this are wishing the screen were on the opposite side so I can read it when triggering with my right hand and I really wish the 510 were about 2-3mm further inboard. At almost 30mm thick, you can't get away with anything larger than a 25mm without overhang but I am loving this thing so far.

it's actually really easy to fire with the button against your palm/base of thumb. In fact, I can rotate it around in my hand and no matter what angle, a simple squeeze will do the trick.

I have had my Alien for a week today, great mod with just a few cons.
First con is the fire button was more solid the first day but has progressively gotten more loose. Now I can tap on the top and it is clicky, not even close on the first day. I did watch Daniels youtube video and know I can fix it but it doesn't bother me that much, I know it will bother others though.
The second con is fixable but when you select SS for TC the TCR is set to 105 which is for SS304. I do have a TCR table but don't remember the #'s off hand and was using the default TCR with SS316L. Of course TC was off and it wasn't until I investigated further did I realize I had to change the default SS TCR from 105 to 92. I do have a SS304 build on one of my tanks to use on my IPV5 so I put it on and it works great, I would say better than the IPV5. I did try a SS316L build with the correct TCR and it was nice but I liked the 304 setting so much I have been using that tank on there for the last 5 days, great vape.
I have read that the TCR for Ti is off as well, I don't use Ti so can't confirm though.
3rd con is it seems to go through batteries quick compared to my other dual 18650 mods. I have had to swap batteries on it everyday since I got it and I alternate between more mods than I care to admit. It is the only mod that needs a daily battery swap and I probably use my Hohm Wrecker G2's more which usually last me a couple of days.
Form factor wise I love the Alien, vape wise it is not going to replace my Hohm Tech mods but the G2 is not carry around friendly and the Slice is not as well built. I really am impressed with the Alien though, a big upgrade over the previous Smok mods.

I've also experienced the slightest bit of play developing in my fire bar, though mine is at the bottom. I will see how that progresses. As for battery life, I've actually been experiencing the opposite, as it seems to outperform either of my other two YiHi-powered dual 18650 devices.

Agreed but the blue doesn't look too bad at all. Wasn't shopping for one of these but pretty tough to turn it down at that price.
That was my feeling as well. I also like that it's not bundled with a tank. Nothing against the baby beast the kit is paired with, but I just don't need another tank that takes its own coils.
Well, add me to the list of those that can’t resist a great deal. According to tracking, a blue Alien and LGs will be in my hands tomorrow (plus an accessory kit for the Calypso tank, which I sorely need since I broke the glass tank section). All my other Smok mods have been solid performers, so I expect this will be as well.
Sucks to be a Canadian at this point. They will not take Canadian credit card as payment as per live chat.... I guess the wait for this device continues .....
My blue came in today. Really nice mod in the hand. I do think it looks better in person as there's something plasticky about it in photos. My fire bar is fine, no rattles or play in it. Updated to 1.2.2 without a problem and have already tested out TC on SS (works well) and just playing with different tanks on it for now. Definitely worth it, especially with that Ecig sale.
Glad to hear you like it. I had the same cheap plasticky impression & would have skipped it if it weren't for the sale. Mine should have come (Ecig lightning fast ship normally), but didn't. Have to check my tracking when I get a chance.
Edit: They sent it FEDEX Smart-post instead of USPS so I won't see mine till Monday. If they sent USPS I would have had it today.
