Our smok Tech cartomizers have been restocked:
Electronic Cigarette - Cartomizers - Smok Tech Cartomizers

We have XL, XXL, and HUGE XXXXL 510 DualCoil cartomizers. 1.5, 2.5, and 4.5ml, respectively. The XXXXL Is as wide as an Ego battery, with a standard 510 thread, which should make it compatible with most MODs on the market. And yes, they work great at HV.

But what I am really excited about...
I had some cartomizers specially made. These are not yet in mass production, but I wanted to make the prototypes available to everyone.

They are EGO 2.0 and 2.5 ohm Cartomizers. These are cyllindrical, and will work with a Type B drip tip, if so inclined. They read "Dual coils" on the side, but that is because they are prototypes, and we had to use readily available materials, to keep the cost down.

Available in Black and Steel, for the LOW price of $2.79 each. These hold 3.5ml, and vape GREAT! here: Electronic Cigarette - Cartomizers - smok Tech Cartomizers

I have only been using mine for a couple days, but so far, I think I'm hooked :D Maybe my new FAV! :vapor:

Please let me know what you think. If you like them, we can get them in mass production right away.

thanks!
Ty

Hey, Mellow. Sorry for the late response. Normally, that is not a problem. Just give us a call or send an email, with the ORDER ID#.

I have mailed a few of these new EGO XL cartomizers out for reviews. These have been mailed to our forum experts, and I have asked that they share their thoughts, here. Stay tuned.

Hee hee...

I was getting ready to post a very preliminary review of the giant ST carto I've been testing and I saw Panda's question...

So here it is: So far so good.

I'm playing with a eGo-type ST single-coil carto. It's listed as 2.5Ω, but my multimeter reads 2.2Ω. Fine with me; perfect resistance for my Rivas, very nice for the eGos. No complaints.

The good: Great filler, nice and porous, the carto is easy to fill despite its size, no syringes and needles required. Once filled, it vapes beautifully--plenty of vapor; nice, reassuring crackle and pop; good, clean flavor, good wicking--no dry hits. I love the soft, adjustable whistle top!

The bad: It's big!

The ugly: It's big!!!!!! :D

More later.

That's pretty much in line with my experience thus far. I've been using the 2.0's. I have 2 of them, which metered dead on. I'm actually using a Type B EGO drip tip, in favor of the rubber mouth piece they come with. But I've definitely been favoring these cartos, over their smaller 510 cousins.

I'm a vaping friend of one of the kind folks here at ECF and she sent me one of your Smok Tech eGo Cartomizers (single coil) for review. I just received it today and have been vaping/toking it for several hours now. Fit perfectly on my OG Puck Big D Modd. Just needed a thread adapter and it works fine. I will post my initial review of it tomorrow sometime here, and I have also begun a video review, said review will appear on my YouTube Channel in a few days (I hope). Internet connection here is spotty and basically unreliable - I live in the middle of freaking nowhere, so that's just the way it is.
I will say that I like the HUGE carto - it's a freaking CANNON! LOL.
More to follow................................

I received a DC 510 E-go cartomizer S.S. today in the mail, from a nice friend on the ecf. Well I filled it up and here is my thoughts : I measured it at 2.5ohm's, It looks very nice on the E-go and gives it a completed finished look. Fits nice, lots of vapor, hold a bunch of liquid, so I think it will last longer than a standard carto because the coils will stay moist longer, it also seems to have a better wicking material in it, and wicks faster when you drip the liquid in than it does with a reg. carto. I also found if you use a V2 510 Shorty Extension from Madvapes it will work great on any 510 threaded battery. Overall, I will buy these, and the one I have is a single coil even tho it says its a Dual coil (its not a mistake these are like trial carto's to see if people like then) anyway I like this Single coil carto better, it puts out as much vapor as the Dual coils do, and I think they won't discharge the battery as quickly as the DC carts. Some people think the are a little to big but they are not to much bigger than the 510 battery with the cone on it, well maybe 3/4" taller, but sure not as big as a tank mod. IMO I think they may last longer than a regular carto because they hold more juice and will keep the coil moist longer and keep it from burning so quickly like the reg. carto's. It will last a whole lot longer between refills so you don't need to keep toping it off all the time. Over all it like a mini tank, I think i'm going to really like these. If you want a carto that lasts a longtime between refills and gives you a lot of vapor, then this is for you.

As promised, here is my Review of "The Smok Tech eGo Cartomizer (Single Coil)".
I received this and my first thoughts were - what a huge juice capacity this will hold. I also liked the included black rubber tip that comes with it. It kinda reminded me of a fancy cigarette holder like they used back in the 1940s and '50s - so that was a nice classy touch.
Well, I put about 40 drops in it and it was still thirsty! So anyways, I let it soak in for about 10 minutes, then hooked it up to my OG Big D Puck and began vaping at 3,6 Volts. I got a very light thin vapour from it. I toked it another 5 or 6 times and realized that was going to be it for vapour production at that voltage. TH was non-existent and the vapour was cool. I changed up to 4,8 Volts and immediately got a moderate vapour from it. The vapour was warm and I got a decent TH from it. I vape approximately 75/25 PG/VG Mixx on my e-juice.
This was my 'Texas Tarheel' tobacco flavour, which is my main vape. The batteries I use are 2400 MaH and last me between 1 and 3 days of vaping between recharges. I had just put a fresh change of batteries in my PV before beginning this review.
I continued using the Smok Tech eGo Cartomizer throughout the rest of the first evening and all of the next day. After approximately 1 1/2 days, the vapour production returned to being very light and TH was again non-existent. I had kept the wadding fairly wet during the entire experience. I continued vaping another 20 minutes and the cartomizer began tasting burnt.
That was when I decided it was at the end of its life. And to be certain it was not the batteries, I once again changed out batteries, but there was no difference in the vapour production. It still also tasted burnt, so I retired it.
I wanted to post my review once I found out how long this Smok Tech eGo Cartomizer would last me.
I like the looks of it, although it's a kinda big-looking for my taste, I still enjoyed the vape. After removing the carto, I dissected it and saw that it's basically a regular 510 Smok Tech cartomizer but it has a much bigger shell - making for a longer period between refills. The diaper-and-wadding setup was the same as a regular 510 as well.
I was going to post a YouTube video review of this, but unfortunately, having upgraded my PC, no longer have the ability to convert and transfer my videos online. So this review will have to suffice, sorry about that.
I do appreciate the opportunity to do this review on The Smok Tech eGo Cartomizer (Single Coil).
Thank you for reading this.

[consolidating reviews here - copy/paste from the burning carto thread].

I'm still testing the Single Coil Cartos but here's the look so far. I'm running these on eGo batts - 3.2V and also have one on a varivolt eGo Passthrough and tried it at the three settings - 3.2v, 3.7v, and 4.2v. There is a difference in those voltages and while my DV Habana Reserve can hold up to the higher voltage the flavor is best at the lower two. The ejuice is DIY VG using DV's Aqueous Glycerin and their VG nic base. The dilution on the blend is 80:20 VG:H2O. The flavoring has some VG but is mainly a PG base.

I know these flavors well and the first noticeable thing about the SCC is there was a harshness at first. I think some people are more sensitive to the 'filler taste' and I'm one of those - nothing new to anyone who has followed my critiques on cartos in general. This harshness subdued to almost nil after about a day and a half and after that the vaping was quite good. Vapor good but not as good as I get with the dual coils or the eGo-t's I have. They don't run hot on 3.2-3.7v but perhaps hotter than the dual coils which at this point I prefer. I like the sizzle of the dual coils along with the vapor that brings, yet the carto body doesn't heat up like say a 306 or 510 LR.

And, oddly, since I'm assuming that the filler is the same in the duals and the singles - I didn't really experience that initial harshness from the dual coils - that puzzles me unless the single coil is actually putting out more heat?? Still, it went away and both the 2.0 and 2.5 (approximate) single coils are vaping well for me with no sign of burn - from past experience with cartos, I refill as soon as I detect any loss in flavor. This was the forth day for them. I also have a dual coil going for 17 days and it's still going strong.

update on the Singles - I tried a 75%PG/25%VG BWB flavor just to see how the mainly PG ejuice would go and it worked well. I'm getting no harshness now from the Singles and they've vaping well. The 2.0 producing more vapor than the 2.5 as expected and still the Dual Coil out produces them on vapor. That said, wrt flavor, I have one flavor - black currant that doesn't like the heat so much and the 2.5Ω single gets the best taste for that flavor over the 2.0 and over the Dual Coil. For more robust flavors - the DCC rules. I did have an 'overfill' problem on the Single 2.0 - pilot error... and it took a while to get back to full throttle vaping - having flooded the coil....

Basically, if people in general like the Dual Coils but have some lighter flavors that aren't optimum with the DCC's - try the 2.5Ω Single on an eGo batt (3.2-3.4 underload). Thanks Salt and Katya for the chance to try these.

My take on the The Smok Tech Single Coil Cartomizer

Filled the carto with 3.5ml of eliquid - 90PG/10VG eliquid and used on an Ego. Lots of vapor, good flavor and medium throat hit. Very easy to refill and the filler seems pretty absorbent. I tried the carto on a 4.8v mod and the performance wasn't as good as it was on the Ego but still satisfactory. Less vapor and flavor it seems.

I really like this carto on an Ego. The larger size means much less refilling than a regular carto. I'm now on day 6 of using the carto and though vapor production and performance have dropped it is still working all right. No burnt taste here at all. I'm assuming and hoping the larger amount of filler is preventing this from happening. (I vape pretty heavily).:vapor:

I guess for me bigger is better. :p

Mesa, AZ...off the analogs for years!
Well, the gang is all here!

Katya sent me one and I've been vaping it about a week now.

This holds so much juice that it lasts forever without a hint of needing refilling. That said, I've added about one ml to the initial fill twice now. I didn't taste that it needed a refill but I'm so worried about burning (hey, it's second nature anymore!) that I topped it off anyway. So far, total is about 5ml.

I do like the tip but I tend to be a biter so every once in awhile I take a drag and I seem to have closed it off. But I just press it open and voila! Still, I prefer the soft tip to some hard plastic thing.

Vapor is warm and plentiful. Been using it on a Riva.

I don't mind the size of it. It's no different than an atty size wise.

I'm thinking of it as an inexpensive tank atty rather than a carto. I'd buy some and keep on hand for when I need something to last a good deal of time without carrying around all that paraphernalia.

The only thing that scares me is that it will die or go south on me and I'll have a ton of juice in there when it happens.

Hey gang!

Thanks for all the input.

I have been using these cartos for 1 week each. They probably could go longer, but a week seems long enough to me. On the 6th day, I just don't top it off. I let it run dry, so as not to waste any juice, then when flavor drops (sometime on day 7 typically), I replace it. I don't rally mind the extra size, as it is a fair trade for peace of mind. I can easily use on of these for a whole day, without topping off.
