Hello and welcome to the forum @chris203. Glad to have you here!:)

To prime the coil, drop 5-8 drops (sometimes less/more depending on the size of the coil head) of juice right inside the coil, another drop of juice in all the holes on the side of the coil. Put the coil in the base, fill the tank and screw the base back onto the tank (or fill the tank after it is all put together if top filling) Once you put it all together give it several unpowered primer puffs. This will make sure the wick is fully saturated.

Turn you voltage/wattage down, tank a few hits, bump it up, couple more hits. Repeat until you find your "sweet spot". If your vape starts to taste burnt, dial it back down.

I don't own the TFV, but most coils are the same. You want to get the wicks wet before you put the tank together with the liquid.

Letting is 'sit' is not always reliable.

Get the wick/coil going (soaking) before you put it together.
Take a few primer puffs. Air bubbles are a good sign!
Start low.

@Susan~S has got it. Spot on!

the last three coils or so have gone burnt in like 2 days the amping up of the wattage might help we'll see
That should help.

Another thing you can do, periodically, is cover the air holes and take a draw or two (without hitting the fire button). That will draw more juice into the wicks (especially if you are vaping high wattage all day long).
