It is a melted, stuck oring, they come like this from the factory, 100% sure it's the oring. When you get it off, the oring will tear, I bet ya.

Well thankfully you lose that bet.. after a couple tanks of high VG the glass finally separated without tearing the o-ring!
Cheers

Well with my new TFV4 I can not remove the glass. It is absolutely stuck at the bottom, and this is before I've even used it so it cant be a "melted/fused" o-ring issue. Not too happy as it seems unlikely that I'll be able to try any new coils one the installed triple is worn out.
I've twisted and pulled so hard I'm sure I'll break the glass if I try any harder.
Not a happy camper.

Had this exact issue. Soak it in everclear and it will come off pretty easily. Let it soak for about 20min longer if need be. Mine didn't tear. Don't force it try to twist the glass in an upward motion.

So Cal
Since I just get one coil with it I am going to baby that thing like Crazy.......... then I am going to 130 watts!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that is the rating of the triple coils. We shall see......

Hope some coils show up for sale quickly.

I've only been able to handle up to 115 watts, after that its just too much, the coil can handle it....just I cant .

120 was about the max I could handle. Most comfortable around 100. Or rather best vape... It works great from 70 up to 120 (the max of my IPV4) but over 100 it is a touch to hot for me.
I can only handle 110W, well that's what my mod said :)

At the beginning of this thread, as well as other threads, there was talk about these tanks leaking. I didn't read all 41 pages here. Is leaking no longer an issue or did someone come up with a solution?
I know with the rba if you don't wick it properly it will leak. I wouldn't say that's a flaw of the tank, but more user error.

So... I got the TFV4 tank last night. I put two tanks of juice through the triple coil it and I'm not blown away. Given the near unanimous acclaim for it, I'm wondering what's going wrong. I've considered that it still needs to break in, but I've noticed a few cons besides the typical uses too much juice...

MY TFV4 Cons...
1. Get's very hot. If I take 5 hits in a couple of minutes, tank is so hot I need to be careful where I put it.
2. Changing the coil requires you to open the entire tank. That means you will probably lose some juice in the process.
3. Flavor - The flavor tastes burnt. I'm used to TC, but if I push the TFV4 up enough to give me a good vape, the flavor is muted and maybe burnt.
4. The top cap is a bit loose. It's not so hard to open accidentally in your pocket.
5. Drains my 18650 battery at 60w in about an hour. Maybe 4ml. I went through two batteries last night and I wasn't chain vaping.
6. Drip tip is very tight. You can easily pull it off and open the top at the same time. You need to be careful not to spill juice.

Now, I'm using an SX Mini M-Class. It barely has enough power for it, so that may have something to do with the battery. I'm also used to TC and my TC coils are still in the mail.

Let me know if it seems like something seems wrong. I'm not sure my tank is operating at 100%. I get better flavor out of my Atlantis. Not as much volume, but better flavor.

For those of you who have ordered coils for the TFV4 from cvapor, have any of you received any coil packages that don't have authenticity scratch off stickers on the back? My first order of quad coils had the scratch off sticker on the back (and was indeed proved authentic). The shipment I received today, however, does not have any sort of authenticity sticker on the back of the box. It's making me begin to wonder...

Shouldnt be an issue. Ive run the RBA exclusively for the last month. Standard Kanthal Micro coil. Mine is 22g right at 0.35ohm. For me the sweet spot for this build is 80-90 watts, and if you wick it right, there is no leaking or dry hits.
cool, care to share your wicking tech? would really love to emulate that.

anyone having issues with quad coil spitting
and any way to fix it?

also been trying to wick my rba... keeps spitting.. no issues with dry hits or leakage

hope it wasnt a bad choice for me to get this tfv4 as my regular daily tank..
For a regular daily tank, I think the Crown is a top choice. I leave my v4 at home for after work.
Both are great tanks though.
