What the heck am I doing wrong with these tanks? Got a S.I.D which for the most part I enjoy, and picked up a matching Vivi Nova just like these - same window style:

SmokTech Pyrex 3.5ml ViVi Nova Tank

Right out the door - worked great (picked it up at my local B&M), and I happily vaped away - enough that before I emptied it, picked up another so I could change out the tanks with different juices.

After ONE tank on each of them, I start getting dry hits (after I've re-filled them). I've cleaned them, dry burned them, changed out heads, they just don't work like they did out the door.

I have a love/hate relationship with them. I love how they look with my S.I.D. - I hate that I'm constantly having to tip them between almost every vape to avoid dry hits. I even cut small v's on either side of the top head gasket to try to allow better wicking - nope - didn't help a bit. Phil Busardo seems to love the vivi tanks - maybe they're not all created equally?

Soon my current gear will likely be back up gear, because I sprang for a Reo and RM2, which I imagine will be my mod of choice, and I thought of Pif'ing the S.I.D. to one of my co-workers, but I want to be able to ensure they have a good vaping experience, I just hate to throw these tanks and extra unused atty heads away. :(

I'm using my Protank II's on the S.I.D. now.

I've only ever used the original Vision (for about a year now) without issue. One thing I do is trim the wicks short, just a little more than the width of the tank. Also unravel, fluff up the wicks, pulling some of the fluffed wick inside the coil. Tipping my PV to take a vape is enough to keep the coil fed. Never could figure why everyone was bending at the waist over their PV to vape in any case...
