Ok. So, I went and I bought this box mod. And I finally found an older version of the app to install, and I went, and I purchased the upgrades for the SS and the Titanium wire.
Now. the SS is in my Vulcan.
I set it up with the dual, 9 wraps, 3mm

Set it on temp control. vape, it goes well for half a puff and then switches me over to Watt mode? WTH?

Did it not upgrade or something? am I doing it wrong.
It will, for some reason read at 077 when I am pulling in the temp control mode.......

Firmware version pops up every time you power off and restart your device. Coefficient is a bit more complicated. The numbers you played around with should be set to .00091. The actual coefficient is .000915, but I didn't round up to .00092 and it vapes just fine for me on my 316L. Also, I'm gonna cover as many bases as possible and ask... you DID set the temp settings to SS before you started playing with the numbers, right? If not, make sure you do so.

For my juices, I get a nice vape at 450F on a .3ohm dual set up with that coefficient.

One last thing: last time I checked, it was believed that the SC and DC options in the Temp menu were for single coil and dual coil modes. I still agree with that assessment.

Yea, Okay, so I had figured out that the SC DC was Single and Dual, And Have been using it as such. I Just checked the Mod, and firmware release is 1.092.

I was doing everything correctly except for the coefficient, which I had set to a nice round .000100.

So i set it to everything you said, But on a 0.2 ohm dual coil... Its nice... A little hot for me, so I turned it down.

Since you seem like an expert then, Perhaps you could assist me with Nickel... So, I tried a single 12 wrap coil which ended up being like 0.07
Am I doomed to super sub ohm with Nickel? I checked out for a 0.5 apparently I need like 75 wraps? so That wont happen. anyways, Maybe I am getting the settings wrong, The only reason I didnt like the coil is because it seemed weak... It heated up too quickly... and was not satisfying at all...

Normally, If I am on my wattage device, I like having a 0.2-0.3 ohm coil 60-70 watts.... thats usually my sweet spot... so I look for a similar type vape...

Glad I could help. While I appreciate the compliment, I'm far from an expert. No worries on having to tweak the settings from mine a little, though. We all have our preferences. They were just meant to be a baseline to help you get your settings dialed in more quickly. Your firmware is the most recent version, so you're good there.

I'm late to the TC "game" so I ended up skipping nickel completely, sorry to say. So I have no experience there. That said, in the main XCube II thread, there's quite a few people in there who are very familiar with Nickel and could probably help you out a lot more than I.

I'm with you though, on the sweet spot. I vaped at around the same numbers on Kanthal before I switched to TC.

I just received mine yesterday and I cannot register in Android app regardless of what I do!!
I keep receiving this: "Network anomalies, please try again later"

I've tried both the older app and the new app and no difference, except the new app asks for a "User Name" in addition to the email address and password.

I have the firmware 1.093 on the unit. Any suggestions or help maybe? I really like this device but I'm only able to use it in only TC mode and Watts mode.

Ive had that problem from time to time. A reboot of my phone usually does the trick for me.

So necessarily with TC and Ni200, most devices should fire a single coil Ni200 build with no problem. You're going to have to figure out how many wraps and what will end up giving you the best temperature vape for you.

The problem comes when you want to do dual-coil Ni200 builds. The ohm readout will sometimes tell you too low, and that's normally when you have to add wraps to get the right resistance. However, at that point it is up to the device whether or not it can handle the power draw. As far as I'm concerned, the Xcube II is suitable for this type of vaping. If I didn't answer your question properly, please let me know.

The app updated today to v2.5.2 and is now working with ZERO errors or glitches now... so far.
I guess the software writers at SMOK finally decided to take care of all the issues with the app.
Even upgraded to Titanium wire TC mode for a whopping 49 cents! Stainless steel wire upgrade is still at $1.99

Hey guys, I've had my Xcube II for about a week I've updated the firmware and I'm pretty familiar with this mod by now but when vaping 316 Stainless in TC the mod automatically reverts to wattage mode after about a 6 sec pull.. Any ideas why? Any work around? Thanks
Either your build is borderline too low resistance to fire on the mod, it may be shorting at some point, or loose screws holding your wire in. maybe a hot leg as well. check those and let us know how it goes :)

I had that issue, but it stopped after I manually set the resistance of my coil. I don't know the reasoning behind it, but when I experienced it, research suggested I try that out and it worked. YMMV?
