Hi all! I've been lurking this forum for several weeks now and decided to finally get involved actively. I'm smoke free since April 15, 2013 and the knowledge gained from this community has been a huge contributing factor.

I realize that there is not a large quantity of non-n00b member who read this, so this is mainly for new vapers who are looking for info or incentive to stick with vaping.

1. If you don't like the cheap, disposable, gas-station e-cigs...I don't blame you. However, don't discount vaping because of them.
Spend $20 or $30 at madvapes or somewhere on a decent kit and pick up a couple of bottles of American-made e-liquid like Johnson Creek's sample pack, or the like.

Plenty of info here about what to try and where to get it, just be sure to go beyond the disposables before you write vaping off.

Best wishes.

Welcome and congratulations!

I highlighted the section of your post that I think is the bane of getting smokers converted to vaping.
So many (Myself included) have tried them and they just didn't do it.
I also bought a cig-alike non disposable with the same results.
If I hadn't been determined to make it work and found this forum for help I would have said pooh at that point.

Happy vaping to you. :vapor:

I was discouraged by the options in disposables too. I don't understand hot Blu can be the top seller, it tastes like wet dog smell!

CONGRATS on quitting! I'm smoke free since April 8th @ 10:00pm!

My first ecig was a disposable blu, and man i do liked a lot and then buy the blu premium starter kit and dont know why i hate them, so far the disposable blu look like a good one meanwile the kit and cartos are crap, glad i step up and now im on a twist with couple of mini vivi novas and evod

Congrats. Feels great don't it. :)

Seems this is pretty common. I tried a couple of years back with disposables and it just didn't work, so I had given up on it. If a friend of mine hadn't sent me to a B&M to check out better gear in person I would have never realized how easy it was to transition off analogs. So like the OP said, if you're reading this, don't use the low end equipment to discount the miracle of vape.
