Recently when I purchase packs of cartridges(smoketip) there are at least 2-3 cartridges that are fresh out of the packet and give off no vapor or taste. The battery light comes on accordingly but there is NOTHING.

I have read on other threads about "blistered packets" needing to be opened and let sit for a week or two.
If my understanding of blister is correct then smoketip cartridge packs come in them. (need to push out of packet like dentyne gum?)

If it makes a difference i live in maine and lately it has been about 10 degrees. im pretty sure that smoketip cartos are kr808.

solutions/answers?/?

BTW, you can purchase other prefilled cartomizers from other companies and they will fit the Smoke Tip. Vapor for Life has sales frequently.

You could purchase empty cartomizers and fill them yourself and it will be cheaper. But you have to be very careful because they are automatic batteries. Wipe off the battery end so juice doesn't get into the battery if you do that. It could short out the battery and it will probably void your warranty.

To me it sounds like the cartos aren't making a connection with the battery. You just need to slightly raise the centre pin on your carto so that it connects with the battery. Use a straightened paper clip or something similar to gently raise the centre pin, not too far though or it will pop out.

today i had 4 in a row not work... i think that this is the closest answer because one started out not working then did and stopped working when i took it off and tried to put it back on... I just now screwed it in a bit tighter and it started working again. Im not sure what you are talking about though. Explain?

Sometimes the center of the carto needs a little adjustment, take a safety pin or something similar and try moving it a little.....or try putting on your carto a little more loosely and see if that works too. Don't put your cartos on super tight, but you can adjust the looseness a little and sometimes that will help. Or try it on a different battery. I don't know how many batteries you have but I just put the carto on a different one if its not working on one lol. If still not working you can clean the cartos for refilling later, or contact smoketip for replacements.

On your cartomizers, at the end that screws in to the battery (the threaded end), you'll see a flat circle with a hole in it, sort of looks like a donut. That is actually a floating pin that can be eased up a little bit so it makes connection with your battery when it's screwed together. You can get something like a sewing needle or a straightened out paper clip and gently lift that pin by easing it up around the edges. You shouldn't have to raise it very far, sometimes just pushing it from side to side raises it enough to make a connection. Raise it a little, screw it on to your battery and give it a try, if it doesn't work, unscrew it and raise it a fraction more, but not too much.

Some cartos are like this out of the box, on other cartos that pin gets depressed while wiping out excess juice with paper towel and sometimes it gets depressed by screwing the cartomizers on to the battery too tightly.

Hope this helps. :)

That's wierd that they have to be super tight. Probably just needs a post adjustment and then you won't have to do it so tight... as for cleaning, this is what I do: Get out my batteries, some hydrogen peroxide, cotton ear cleaners and a small safety pin. I scrap out any gunk in the connection with the safety pin and also poke it through the holes on the side of the connector to clean those out. Then I put a little hydrogen peroxide on the q tip and use that to clean inside the connection and on top and around it. Sometimes I will put a little on some kleenex or toilet paper too and wipe down the whole battery. I make sure to clean the connection really good with the q tip, if its been awhile between cleanings you will see discoloration on the q tip...

mine seem to only be working when they are SUPEEERRRR tight. I feel like i may need to clean the battery and thats why im not getting a connection. any advice on what to use to clean that smalll of an area

I DO NOT want to buy a cleaning kit.

All I use to clean my battery connection is an old toothbrush, brings them up good as gold.

I used Smoke Tip for quite a while. I also suggest getting ahold of customer service. My guess from dealing with them is that they will make it right. If you pester them on carts too often they may not want to continue to send more out for free, but they should do you true from my own expierience. If worse comes to worse, they will replace your bats guarenteed. DON'T strip the theads though. I don't think they cover that on replacement. Also you can refill your Smoke Tip cartos by dripping or the condom meathed. DON'T let any extra juce run into your bat. as that is definatly not coverd, and WILL kill your bat. Just let a refill sit screw end down over night and whipe any fluid off the bottom in the morning. Those Smoke Tip carts can be refilled a-lot, and last forever. Good luck.

There was a similar post like this a while back regarding Smoketip. Smoketip had a page on their site addressing these complaints. They said "contact them if the first 2 cartos are empty in your pack". I don't know if they ever fixed the problem because I started using V4L cartos; HOWEVER there was only limited compatibility with the ST batteries, I had to switch batteries back and forth to get them to work with the V4L cartos.

Got tired of V4L's sloooow shipping and switched to VapeShot don't have issues with the cartos anymore. I still order juice from V4L when it's on sale (I just order it at least a week ahead of time).

You would have received 2 batteries with your kit. Does this happen with both batteries? I would suggest contacting their support and having the battery(s) replaced. They offer lifetime free replacement on those so give that a shot.

Yes it did come with two but the first battery was weird right out of the box. I have to blow into it probably 15 times before it will actually light up and work. Ive heard of this happening before and am aware of the warranty the only issue is that I bought mine at a local store and I havent been in to ask if there is any way that they can cover the warranty.
